Hello. Warmth/heat might help. I wouldn't submerge it in warm water though as that could make the bearings at the back go rusty (unless you can just soak the front part without getting the back wet). Or try a hairdryer to warm round the edges.
I hope it hasn't been glued on! If it has I know how to solve that - I found out by accident during the pandemic! Spray the joint with alcohol spray. This dissolves even the strongest glue and can just be washed off afterwards. As I said I found out when I used it on some kitchen cupboards and my glued on towel holders all fell off!
