Could you ask for money instead? That way you can save for a hamster. In a cage that small the hamster is going to be very unhappy.

I can understand that. There is no harm to wait until you can build a bin cage. Please wait until you have some money saved. A hamster needs a lot of things and also money put aside for a vet fund.
I am so sorry to be so negative and I understand I sound mean but the cage is far too small for a hamster.

Hopefully i can i think the cage might be slightly bigger though. I am adding as much of enrichment as i can and i have a 6.5 inch wheel for the little girl.Could you ask for money instead? That way you can save for a hamster. In a cage that small the hamster is going to be very unhappy.
