Lavender

She's beautiful. Wheel and pea flake - hamster heaven!
 
So, I didnt get any pictures because I was just focusing on her being comfortable, but seeing as she's got comfortable taking sunflower seeds from me I decided to see if she would be happy to follow one onto my hand and sure enough, she climbed up, took her seed and gave me a good sniff before toddling off back to her nest with her little trophy 🤣

I was absolutely waiting for a test nip, but so far so good 😅 it was a positive experience for both of us.
 
She seems to be a sociable little hammy ❤️

That's great things are going so well with her. So glad you didn't get a nip - it makes us a bit sensitive to that kind of thing if you had a nippy hamster previously. But it sounds like she is a different personality :-)
 
So, me and the lovely Lavender decided tonight was the night we would be brave enough to trust eachother 😅

I havent seen her in a few days but she heard me refilling her food bowl just now before I went to bed and decided she would come and have a look at what I had on offer. She was very easily tempted by a few pumpkin seeds onto my hand. She only gently nibbled my palm once she had taken them all, I assume because the smell still lingered on my skin. But once she figured out there wasn't any more, she settled down.

I kept it brief and positive for both of us, no point rushing! She's happily running in her wheel now from the sound of it so she clearly wasn't too bothered 🤣🥰

We had a cuddle! She came out just now for some water, and seemed interested in what I was doing so I offered her a pumpkin seed and my hand, which she promptly ate and climbed up. She sat confidently while I lifted her out of her cage and walked from hand to hand for a bit before going up my arm to explore my hoodie 😅 she was out for a few minutes before I decided to quite while we were ahead and it was still a good experience for her, and put her back, and gave her another pumpkin seed for her trouble 😅

I'm delighted, bless her 😅 I felt so bad for Saffron and how she viewed the world, I'm glad Lavender isn't as neurologically effected. She's certainly a chunky little thing 😂 she seems to be eating more food than she's storing haha since switching her food over to the bunny nature mix instead of the pets at home muesli she's actually emptying her bowl rather than just taking a few pieces and all the sunflower seeds.

I'm really excited to build a nice bond and friendship with her similar to what I had with Pasha and Orsa.
 
My Robo loved the Bunny dream food. I only had the one russian dwarf hamster for a very short time sadly, but she loved the Rodipet hybrid mix - if you're interested :)
