I was wondering how Lilly was doing post op. She looks to be doing fine there. Assume her wound is all ok etc and she's taking her meds like a good girl.

Lilly is resting a lot which is to be expected post op. She's eating and drinking and the rest which is reassuring. She's not chewing her wound which has dissolvable stitches under the skin. Vet had to close her wound circular not straight. It's difficult to get a look at Lilly's underside because she's never tolerated that and i don't want her to exert herself. I tempt her into a clean glass jar and get a look that way. She's on metacam pain relief which works very well for her and baytril as a precautionary measure.

Lilly seems ok in the bin cage which has enough substrate for her to burrow and i take her out for very short periods to stroke her and chat to her when she's awake. Just so she knows that i'm here for her and care.

Once i've seen the vet Monday afternoon i'll have a better idea of Lilly's state of health.

Yes, the first one.

Yes. That's the 3 day check and then there's the 10 day check by which time everything should have healed up and Lilly can return to normal activities.

Aw she is such a cute little snowball. It looks like she's enjoying that. She may not be as active as usual but I detected a hint of her usual energy in the way she moved at one point.
