Thanks, yes, i'll move it to the side. Also, Lilly is used to running up and down the ramp when she wants out and she couldn't get to the bars with that gap.

I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's finished :)

Tell me about it :ROFLMAO:

Great news the vet is pleased with Lilly and she’s doing well. New cage set up is starting to take shape 👍😊

Lilly's new home is looking great 💕

Lilly - you can give all the praise you like to my mum. But I'll decide if it's great or not 🐹

The set up is very much like the old one. Need to sort this ramp later and then i need to reduce the climbing height on the front panel but have run out of acrylic sheets and no time to drive to Ikea....

I'm also contemplating giving Lilly playpen time but unsure if that's a good idea for a hamster used to free roaming. She's not going crazy with boredom in her hospital cage yet. Maybe i'll make her a boredom breaker instead.

She’d probably enjoy both! If she’s a bit more active now she might be ok having a little explore in a play pen if you could put some of the things she’s familiar with in it, if not I’m sure she’d appreciate a boredom breaker.

Lilly checking out her boredom breaker this morning.

It's been a week today since her surgery and she's still surprisingly content in her hospital cage. She walks into her taxi and sits on my hand but then looks for something else. When i put her back in her bin cage she's alright though and hamsters about. No jumping up sides or looking for a way out.

Her new cage is almost ready. I need to reduce the climbing height of the front panel yet which i'll do tomorrow after work.

What a beautiful girl. She is slowly getting her energy back. It is wonderful to hear how well she is doing.

Lovely to see her enjoying her boredom breaker & hear how she’s doing.

That's how far i got with her cage. The ceramic mushroom hide from her bin cage is going to go in when Lilly moves in Monday plus some millet and sprays. I moved the ramp to the front, sandbath is under the shelf with the house and she has a plastic tube to scratch her back on the shelf behind the saucer. I fiddled about with a tube roof run from shelf to shelf across the cage which would have been do-able but i found it too long a tube for me to feel comfortable with.

That looks amazing. You even thought of a back-scratching tube for her to make her racoon noise. 😉

I just cleaned out Lilly's pee spot and she wasn't happy with me removing her mushroom hide. She kept jumping about looking for it and then sat in its spot. Once it was back in she went to sit inside it. Lovely to see a glimps of the spirited Lilly.

She blocked the entrance of the hide with bedding. I think she's had enough of me interfering for one day.
