It looks like there isn't anything specifically called "Ketodiastix" (which test for everything - protein, sugar, blood, ketones etc). If I searched for that on Amazon it only came up with ketone testing strips alone. So I searched for sugar strips and found those.

Hi! I'm sorry but I'm very out of the loop when it comes to the forum.

Maia is still on her kidney treatment; we were told her kidneys are a bit affected. Otherwise, she’s fine! She stayed with a friend (who also has a hamster) whilst we were on holiday for a week in August. She’s actually due for another check-up at the vet today because she’s developed a sort of spot on her eye. She had one a few months ago and we think it might be meibomitis, which cleared up with some eye drops. She’s still extremely affectionate and curious. Thanks for asking after her

She is!!! We found a very reliable vet which makes us feel really good about our visits and the way she treats Maia. The problem is that it’s an hour’s drive away – sometimes an hour and a half if there’s traffic. But anyway, for non-urgent visits we make the journey and that’s that.

The thing is that we have other options closer, but it's not the same... However, I do have a list of nearby vets offering emergency services, just in case, although I hope I won’t have any more bad experiences.

Same here - the good exotic vet is a distance, but there are a couple of ok vets locally for emergencies. Fingers crossed there are no emergencies
