May's thread- a week in the life with 10 pets and 3 children 🥰

What a wonderful story about Babybelle - she was a beautiful girl and so lucky she had such a loving home for her remaining life. I'm so sorry for your loss of Babybelle - she sounded like a very special one.

I swear Winter is actually saying hello on that second photo! :ROFLMAO:

I think she is! She became quite the star the last time I did one of these weeks and it seems she'd like to be a star again 🤣🤣 if only Mr teddy would pose for some good photos 😂

Which pet is Mr Teddy? Sorry I've forgotten.

Oh my goodness - silly me - of course! Hello beautiful Teddy! Sorry my brain wasn’t in gear!

Day 4-
I just got back from a 12 hour night shift and vanilla and smores have their post op check at the vets today and my daughter has an open evening at secondary school so roll on a verrrryyy long time without sleep 🤣😳

How is she big enough to go to comp?! She was 3 weeks early but a big baby, can anyone guess the weight?

Hi Emx93, so sorry, realise I started typing to wish you a Happy Birthday earlier in the week and Good Luck to your daughter in her SATs and I clearly didn’t press the ‘post reply’ button. 🤦‍♀️

I know quite a few children sitting their SATs this week. Hope they are going ok? Is your daughter looking forward to moving to secondary school now? Will she make the move with some of her current year group? My daughter is now in Yr8, she finds there is way to much writing, but she loves all the different subjects. Great face mask 😃 she’ll love Art at school. They learn about all the different artists and their genres and get to have a go at reproducing similar artwork of their own.

You have such an amazing array of pets! It’s lovely to hear you have such an understanding and helpful vet also. Hope the vets check for Vanilla and Smores goes well today, they have been brave little guineas with their ops. Great news too that Callie’s bloods have all come back well.

I don’t know much about snakes. Do you have to spray the enclosure regular to keep the humidity or is it for Winter and the living plants you have in the vivarium? Great photos of Winter popping out to say Hi!

Funny that Teddy appears to know it’s kinda his week, so he hides away, such a hamstery thing to do 😀 he’s no doubt secretly watching all the time. He’s super cute in the photo. 😊

Sorry for your loss of Babybelle, she looks a beautiful cat, they all become such big parts of our life.

Thanks for all the fab posts and the motivational quotes for Mental health Awareness week. I think it’s a huge topic and so many people are struggling in such different ways. It’s important to reach out and talk about it. I was just reading a post on anxiety and it’s shocking just how many people are suffering and to very varying degrees. I used to practice yoga to help, just once a week but gave it up as my work shifts changed. I know enough to practice alone really, so I must start doing this again as it did give me a sense of calm, even if just for short while.

Have a good day and hope the school visit goes well 👍

Lovely post Zara. I once learned meditation which was very relaxing (I would fall asleep sometimes!) but also got out of the habit of practising when life got hectic - at the time it helped with pain as well. It was quite hard to learn to do it properly at first but then practice meant you could do it anywhere for 10 minutes even with your eyes open and it was very effective. Must get back into that!

Em - such lovely photos today 😊. Your daughter looks very grown up and ready for secondary school! Is it this year or next year? I can’t remember when the open evenings are for each years intake.

It’s a fantastic face mask - they are such fun - and her outfit looks grear too 😊

I might have better luck guessing the weight this time as she looks a similar size to me as a baby so I will guess 9lbs 😊

Teddy has finally decided to say hello 🥰 infact he's been very active and kicked his bedding absolutely everywhere- in his sand, in his coco coir, upturned sprays and buried logs! So I have quite the clean up to do 😂🤣 such a teddy thing to do!

Thankyou so much for the good luck wishes and birthday wishes ❤️ she can't wait to move up although she is a little worried about getting lost! All her class got into the same secondary school but we don't know who's in her form group yet 🥺

Vanilla and smores smashed their post op checks! They are very happy with them and so am I, they have sailed through like nothing even happened! Smores pretty much ate by herself the whole time, and vanilla only really needed a little topping up the first day! Clever piggies- touch wood they've been the easiest ops ever!

Winter does need spraying to keep humidity, especially when it comes close to shedding time but it is also very helpful for the plants in her bioactive viv :) winter loves attention and is very friendly and interactive!

Teddy finally popped up for a pic after creating havoc in his cage 😂 so very Teddy like I have a big clean up ahead!

The meditation and yoga sound really good! It's something I should really try! I'm glad it seems to help you! I agree it is a topic that needs awareness, the stigma breaking and open and honest conversation. If raising awareness causes one person to reach out for help or feel less alone then it is worth it!

Oh is going to do the school visit as I did the last one and I'm sooo tired! I'm going to chill at home with my youngest while my middle girl is going out with her friends family for her friends birthday!

She absolutely loves creating masks and anything crafty and often makes her friends and sisters masks too! She goes up this year- in just a few weeks! This evening is a taster of none core subjects including art so she will absolutely love it! Oh is going with her as I did the core subjects one a few weeks ago and one of us needs to wait home with the youngest and for my middle girl returning from her friends birthday celebrations 🤣

Wow your almost exactly right with the weight! 8lb 14.5oz at 37 weeks 🤣 she got stuck and needed a red buzzer emergency c section 😳

I bet you’re glad that’s in the past 😂.

She is very clever and artistic making those masks. Such a big transition to secondary school and exciting as well.

Here is a mask she made for her sister 💕 featuring my youngest and callie 😂 did you see above that Teddy finally made his dramatic entrance and caused carnage in his cage at 11am 🤣

Aw Teddy is so gorgeous. What a mess he's made ha ha. Raffy makes a big mess if I don't let him out for a couple of nights!

His sleep patterns have been odd the past couple of days so he did miss playpen time 🤣 that will be why he's made so much mess 😂 he's a very cheeky boy and I secretly love his carnage if it means he's having fun 😁 but wow I'd just got back from the vets and was heading for a nap when suddenly I realised how much carnage he created 🤣

Just had a yummy takeaway 🤩😍

Honey sirracha buffalo wings, chilli cheese nuggets and peri peri fries 😍20240516_183018.jpg

That sounds very tasty! We had spag bol.

That looks very tasty 😀

Great to hear the guineas did well at their check up.

Super photos of Teddy, he looks very inquisitive and has clearly been having lots of fun making a mess 😀

Day 5-

Feeling very tired today 🤣
