Meet my robos

Oh I think I'm in love with them all :ROFLMAO: And such great names. Especially Bobby Crush - that's a great name. And he does look like a robo filmstar! They all do. Which is the oldest and which is the youngest? Assume none of them are related?

So sweet! ❤️ They seem OK with people being around and not to concerned about having their photo taken. Do they come out while you are near the cage?
Holly does , if she's up and I go in the bedroom she's comes running to where I give her treats. Pedro came out (rare) while I was giving her treats one day last week , and came to the front of his cage for treats, so I was alternating between the two. I hardly see Bobby , and Harry is a bit of a Houdini ! Lol. I have given him treats throught the cage , he usually takes a mealworm or two and eats them , then when I offer seeds he takes one , thinks about getting the next one but chickens out and runs off. Lol

Their personalities vary so much don't they? I think their previous life experiences affect robo behaviour as well. Both mine were "rescues" and the first one particularly was incredibly stressed when he came to me and continued to run and hide flat behind his wheel if a hand entered the cage. He was from an "unexpected litter" and had been handled a lot by owners and vets as the owners didn't know how to sex them.

Did I miss a video? :-)

No none related , in order of getting them , got Holly Dec 2024 , Harry Feb 2024 , Bobby march 2025 , and Pedro April 2025. But Pedro was one yr old when I adopted him , so he's the oldest.

Lovely pictures ❤️ Does Harry ask to be allowed out? How do you transfer him to his playpen? He is a confident little Robo. They are very charming 🥰

Thank you. Sorry for the late reply. None of my boys come out asking to come out. I usually disturb them so I can get them . Pedro has tubes in his cage so when he goes in the tube , I grab the tube with him in it and put him in a little laundry basket , then pick him up to put in playpen. Harry in the hardest to get , but he has tubes on his cage , so when he goes in the tube I take the tube off with him in it , put him in the laundry basket then catch him in there , which is easier , and put him in the playpen. I've got them all used to being scooped up in my hands now , and as long as I cover their heads they stay in my hands. I didn't have this knack with my first two robos , so never got to pick them up , but used to transfer them in tubes. I've learnt to be more confident and managed to scoop them up in my hands now , and it helps with them in the small laundry basket , as I can run my hand around the basket and trap them ! Lol. Once they've played in the playpen a bit I empty the stuff out and sit cross legged in there , and they run around and climb on me. Harry in the most adventurous, he runs up my leg , and arm then runs up my t-shirt sleeve onto my back and up onto my head. I usually have to catch him when he jumps off my head !! 😆

Well Holly's the funny one today , she's been filling up her top cage with bedding for a long time now and fills her wheel with bedding. I cleaned her cage yesterday , but left the piled up bedding there , just emptied her wheel so she has room to run. I was watching her earlier running in her wheel up there , then she saw me watching her , so she ran downstairs and went in her other wheel. Lol. Now she's started to put bedding in the wheel downstairs. So I will see in the morning if she's filled it up. She's so cute when she runs around with mouthfuls of bedding and organises it.

A small laundry basket sounds like a great idea! I used to do a similar thing with our last robo - he had a pod thing with a tube on the end in his cage, so when he went in the pod, I'd pick the whole thing up and put my hand over the tube end and then carry that to the playpen. Then in the playpen I had a large shoebox on its side with bedding and bits of food in and when he went in there, I'd tip it right way up, so I could do a bit of handling in the box. He kind of got used to it, but was never that keen!

I hope you have a photo of Holly with her mouth full of bedding!

Aw that sounds great. I got the idea of the laundry basket from pets at home when they get a hamster out for u to look at it , they put it in a laundry basket and pick him up over the basket in case they get out of yr hand. Just bought a smaller version for at home. It is great. I can even get my little weighing scales in there to weigh without danger of escape. I don't have a pic of Holly with bedding in her mouth yet. I will try but she's usually on the move so hard to get a pic. I have a little video. Have u looked into getting a way we can put videos on here yet Maz. I got a pic of Robin in the laundry basket , but escaped by climbing up the boot and reaching the top. Luckily we could stop him as he is slow as he's not a robo !!! Lol

It's just youtube for videos on here :-) If the video is uploaded to youtube, you just paste the link. If you don't want it publicly viewable on youtube, you just set it to "unlisted" when you uploaded. That way it only shows wherever you post the link (ie on here). So it's effectively private and you just share the link where you want the video seen. Don't set it to "Private" though or it doesn't show up when the link is pasted!
