The Bucatstat must be almost tantrum proof?

Yes thank goodness I would not like to have had one with bars yesterday. He stands up against the door and hops up and down shaking it
Eventually he goes on his wheel, but as soon as he sees me he comes running to the door. I left quickly after making a midnight cup of tea and he settled down. The cushions and his quilt on the floor were surprisingly comfy, but i thought he had enough time in his pen and don’t want to get into a routine of sleeping on the kitchen floor

Aw thank you that’s sweet we have had our issues though remember the bite but he is getting a lot better recently. He’s just got an awful lot of energy. He goes nuts on the wheel, jumps off to go crazy digging in the sand bath, gobbles a nut or seed jumps back on the wheel over and over again. In the mornings he’s more relaxed

Here i am on my makeshift kitchen bed,, Nibbles was up at 9 pm and came staight to the door and climbed in his taxi he is on his wheel, foraging and having the time of his life i have made myself a strong coffee, but my eyes are getting heavy, nothing like 40 winks on the kitcheb floor. Ups hes anoyed that i am typing...

I am thinking if i should put his new toilet in the house, i dont want to upset him in this good mood. Should i maybe wait a few days?

Last night I let him stay 3 1/2 hours in the playpen until 12.30 pm. It was still a nightmare to get him out, he kept running away, eating, sand bath, hopping back on the wheel, and throwing tantrums. He gave up in the end. I don’t know what I am going to do when work starts again? Leave him in there and set an alarm clock for 3 pm? I can’t leave him until the morning unless I put in a makeshift bed…. Oh dear
He doesn’t try to climb out at all, but what’s the difference to his cage? I was expecting him to get bored of it after a few hours….
I have waited with the new toilet, maybe too many new impressions at once…
When I get him out of the cage he jumps into his taxi as soon as he’s awake, when I want to get him out of the playpen he sniffs the taxi and runs off! He doesn’t seen frightened more like a child on the playground saying, no mum just five more minutes….

The best is when you get the taxi in position and hammy jumps back onto his wheel

It’s amazing how a ball of fluff the size of a pingpong ball and the weight of a bar of chocolate can actually take over the household and make you subdue

He does he watches me if I leave the room and comes running up when I come back, sniffs a few times and jumps back on the wheel. Just to make sure I know he’s not ready to go back to his house

I think hamsters in laboratories must be terribly miserable. It is past time humans stopped experimenting on live animals and used alternatives

That’s true. I dare not think about it the poor beagle dogs too, they are favourites due to their mild nature. It’s awful
