I am do tired of this I think it’s best to get a mobile ac
Not what I was planing I don’t like them either, but at least it could be running in the afternoons when it gets really bad.

Hmm. Is it a dry cellar? Maybe a fan in the room rather than moving him? Portable air conditioning sounds good! Long shot but could you leave the fridge door open for a while? I've done that before!

It’s a very dry cellar more like a storage room. I have two fans set up and blackout blinds, but i won’t be able to keep the temperature down when it’s 40 + in the sun

And I place ice pads under and around the cage, cool mugs inside the whole treatment

He’s not coming up for his broccoli today, he’s just staying in his burrow. He had never done that before. It’s just too hot for the last eight days…

Personally I wouldn't move him - but I'm not there to feel how hot it is - and it depends how well you can manage. Fridge door open?

I don’t think my fridge will work if I leave it open, it’s a modern one I will see how bad it gets and have the cage set up for an emergency
I was worried today because he slept solid all afternoon in his burrow, but I just remembered he has a complete fresh bed, he always enjoys that. But maybe it was also the heat…

Today it was 28 degrees (in the shade) but due to the houses already heated up after over a week it’s still 26 degrees in here at 8.45 pm
On Saturday it may reach 33 degrees inside

He normally wakes up at around 2.00 and wants a treat

Aw that's unusual. Most syrians seem to sleep from about 7am to 7pm or later! They occasionally get up for a drink.

Thank god he’s okay he loves it when the door is open and it’s starting to cool down. Nothing better than fresh air. He was up half an hour earlier tonight. Must have had a good sleep. I cleaned his toilet and was amazed how cool it is in his burrow! Those cool pads under the cage do seem to help. I will listen to your advise Maz and leave him here, if things get bad, I can still take him down until the heat passes.

Ac are currently all sold out expect the very expensive ones or the split units. I am not the only one sweating here

Yes he’s enjoying the breeze. It might change till Saturday weather is unpredictable
I just received a message from the German Parcel!!! The TEMU cage is being delivered in the next days I can’t believe it!

There is only me here and Nibbles and most of the time we are in the kitchen

I'm glad the cage has been found. Can you return the more expensive one? It's raining here and has cooled down nicely. I had to rush my book nook off to the kitchen as rain was coming through the window and I didn't want to close it. However it is just a brief reprieve as Wednesday is looking bad. Your cellar sounds nice. But it's great that the ice is working. My piggies have ice bottles next to their hay trays and they have made nests in the hay and rest their backs against the side with the bottle. Rodent nests are quite well designed I think

Also there is the question of how well it has survived the journey
