Mr Nibbles Diary

So far room temperature is 23 degrees (thank the blinds 🙏) so the AC is not turned on.
The AC drama continues!
Turns out this AC is a Lidl brand i knew that when it was delivered due to the box.
Lidl does not do b2b sales, that made me suspicious. The AC cost 199,- euros at Lidl. This company charged me 679,- euros without mentioning it’s a Lidl brand. I am entitled to send it back within 30 days (even though it’s been unboxed and or used).

I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds like people taking advantage when there's a shortage of things. I remember when things cost ridiculously high prices during the pandemic and people were doing that on Amazon.

That sounds a huge price difference,!! I wouldn't blame you if you decided to send it back. Would it cost you to send it back though.. oh I do feel for you with all this polarva 🥰💓💕💗💞 Ness

It’s awful but the director of the company got a shock when I informed him of the consequences. He was not used to customers who know their rights 😅

So are you sending it back then?
Yes but i am using it tomorrow if it gets worse than today 😅 i have 30 days time to send it back, even if its used… I wouldn’t normally but under these circumstances i don’t see why not. The director said he would call me later and give me an offer of price discount, i will see what he offers.

I don't know if it's different in Germany but I think in the Uk you have 14 days to return without reason (but it needs to be unused unless faulty) and 30 days if it's "not fit for purpose" or faulty. After that it gets more complicated and there are protections but much harder to get refunds or exchanges.

It’s similar here, but due to the fact that it’s actually illegal what the company has done, they will accept the return. They have sold it over a market place, of course I will have to inform them.
Here you are allowed the price something up to 100% over retail price. If you go ever 100% (in this case 248) there is a law that protects customers. It extortionate price law (translated) or in other words ripoff 😅 Plus the fact that they did not mention that this is a Lidl product. At the moment he’s offering them for 949 euros!

Today it was 33 degrees 40 in the direct sun 🌞
I managed to keep the flat at 24 degrees and did not need the AC.
It’s still 33 degrees at 6.00 pm
Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 36 degrees (I don’t want to think how hot it will be in the direct sun 🫣).
The blinds have been a game changer. I hope you have not had this heat in the UK 🇬🇧. It feels awful outside, as if you can’t breath. I am so annoyed about the issue with the AC. If possible I don’t want to use it. If I am very unlucky I will have to pay the price, the company has not got back to me and has not answered the return request. Normally the market place jumps in to help, but this will most likely be a big headache. Can’t wait for autumn 🍂

It's a shame as I love summer and just want it not too hot, not too cold! Our heat wave is due soon I believe ..........
Same here Maz, I loved the summer. I used to impatiently wait for it, but this is awful. It’s 7.30 pm and still 31 degrees 🥴 it makes you feel sick.
I have spent my day in a dark flat feeling a wee bit like a vampire 🧛
You just can’t go outside. The streets and gardens are empty, not a soul out there..

It was about 33C here, but the piggies had their ice bottles and the fan blowing on a damp pillow slip. But tomorrow is going down to 27C :hamsterthumbs:

I hope he is stopped. Lidl should be informed perhaps. The Co is acting like a pirate 🙁
