Aw he's enjoying that Lovely he is so friendly and happy to be stroked.

Do you think he’s enjoying it I had the impression he was…. Aww I am so happy. He is very sweet and friendly isn’t he? He’s not bit me once, not even a nibble

He went in the sleeping bag, he likes that and he loves the quilt, he made tunnels in the sides. But he’s very tired now after a short spin in his wheel is that normal? He was too fast to be weighed, but he is very light. I will try and weigh him next time…. If he stays still

Yes he has been confident from day one I am very lucky to have chosen him.

I think he's enjoying it immensely. It's a lovely time of their lives when they love exploring and everything is so new and they have so much energy. He's pretty hand friendly. If he was scared, he would flump and swat or jump straight up in the air to a surprising height. Flumping is when they sort of jump sideways a bit very suddenly. It's still good to transport him any distance in his hamster taxi for safety. He is such an absolute sweetie

I will stick to the Pyrex jug it works so good but when he jumped into my hand I really got a fright, I was not expecting it. I put my other hand over him and straight into the playpen. It was most likely right to give him these 6 weeks to get used to me, as I am not experienced with hamsters. If he was with you or Maz he would probably have been in bed with you after a week he’s very friendly and I feel extremely lucky. I am always so conscious of doing everything right. They are such small sweethearts and I am used to horses dogs and cats

Second time in the playpen went very well. He knew where he was, he sniffed everything. He did his zoomies, cleaned himself had a few stretches but the funniest thing was to watch him rubbing his body against the quilt he loves that quilt and makes tunnels in the rolled up sides. He marked it so many times, I guess that’s a good sign that he’s accepted it as his territory? I am off to bed wishing you all a good night and saying a prayer for Angel I hope she is better

Third time out and he’s already bored with the playpen. He tried his best to climb out after he scented everything had a clean and peed on the quilt and dug tunnels. He was annoyed that I didn’t let him climb out, but he’s got so much energy he tired me out
He loves to bury under the quilt and I can’t see what he’s up to, he then peeks out from the other side as if to say catch me lf you can! I couldn’t weigh him, he just didn’t have time to sit still for one second! I had him on my hand once, and was allowed to stroke him. But he is such a bundle of dynamite, he zooms around like a tornado. Now he is torturing his wheel

Would the pyrex jug go on the scale? Alternatively, Maz has a trick of zeroing the scale with a piece of cucumber and then letting hammy climb onto the scale and sit and eat the cucumber. It might not be an easy thing to do though.

Yes the jug would go on the scales, I will try that out today. I will weigh them both together and the substract the weight of the jug hopefully he will not climb out too quick. Once he’s out of his house food is no option, he’s far too excited.
