Today it feels more comfortable at 27 degrees (25 inside) Nibbles is back in his burrow and has been snoring all day
I hope it is not too hot for you and the piggies we are having a small break from the massive heatwave until Wednesday then it will be 30 + degrees again, I will ask my boss if I can take three days off work.
I looked at the weather forecast for the UK it seems like the worst days will be Tuesday until Thursday I am thinking of you all and praying for some cooling rain. It stormed heavily here this morning and it was god sent, after that it really got more bearable. Hugs from snoozing Nibbles

Nibbles you are a cutie, even in your sleep . The guinea pigs send sleepy cuddles
Yes, things are not looking too good over the next few days. 37C is on its way work has a cooling unit and people actually get quite chilly in the office but at home the piggies and I need to manage as best we can. The sun moves off at lunchtime. I put ice packs around the piggy cages and they lie with their backs against them after they have melted and are less icy. Cucumber is Truffle's way of coping. He's been shaved short, poor piggy. Polo is smooth haired. Both are sleepy and look worried. Heat waves are not fun.

I was thinking of checking in an Airbnb with air conditioning yesterday. I hope it doesn’t come to that but it makes one desperate
I will keep my fingers crossed that the weather changes

I was thinking about an air conditioning but can’t put a hole in the wall. Today I found this on Amazon and now I am counting my pennies and scratching my head….. I know if I buy one (causing me a headache and an involuntary diet) it would drop to 19 degrees and rain for the rest of summer

My friend phoned last night and said they are expecting one (midlands Derby area)
26 degrees are forecasted, that is when we say it’s cooling down here

There was a moth in his cage as if the heat isn’t bad enough! And the German parcel is taking ages to deliver the new cage, which has already left the customs office! It should be here by Wednesday
I thought I saw a moth flying last night!

I have started by cleaning and inspecting the playpen, no moths there
But he is quite seriously in love with that place! Not only did he make a nest in the mch there was also quite an impressive food storage in there!

Aw, Nibbles' home from home. I hope the moth has left for the forests. Some people who are used to really hot weather would say 40C is pretty regular weather I suppose it's what you are used to. I find it scary when the temperatures climb up to 35C

Yes everything above 30 is too much for me unless it’s dry heat and not humid (like Tunisia)
I hope it was just the one lonesome moth, but chances are low I suppose.
Tonight I will go inspecting when he’s out…
That’s the problem when you clean the cage with dim lights on, it’s easy to overlook something. But tonight I will flash my torch down there!
