My little companion, Hammy

She is gorgeous. Sometimes, I almost think she understands what I'm saying when I talk to her. She's an absolute diamond when I'm cleaning her bedding. Never stresses. Comes out to see what the big human is doing, then goes back to her nest.

Your hamsters must reflect your own personality and the effect you have on them :-) Because all your females have been incredibly well behaved and friendly :-)

After everyone. Had a productive morning with the help of my hammys approval. Created a deep bedding corner for her as you see in the photos first shows her coming out. Last one is a panoramaic photo

I bet she's loving that :-)

Thank you. She certainly is. As she has got older, the area where her scent glands are has become lighter in colour, making it look like she is bald on her hips. But she's not. I absolutely went and spoilt her today, spending a fortune on her bedding and lots of treats

The day I got her, was the same day I lost my previous one. She was all on her own, while the other tanks had a few in each one. She has been an absolute diamond and a source of much entertainment

She's up at the moment. Loving these lighter nights, because I get to see more of her. In the photo of her cage, she has 2 12 inch wheels, 2 water bottles, a water bowl, large cardboard box for her nest which she has filled with bedding. A sand bath, a bridge, tree trunk hide, 2 tunnels, a tree stump and a hammock.

She doesn't have a play pen at the moment. Because of all the little nooks and crannies she could hide in, and because I rent a room, when I have her out, I let her roam around on my bed, ready to scoop her up in a jug if it looks like she's making a break for freedom

Also, I have a fair number of cables on the floor.

My last hamster I had, I took 370 photos of her. My latest one knows what she wants. She'll chew cardboard, but it has to be the corrugated kind. She turns her nose up if it's just plain and flat. She loves sneezing up on me. If I'm looking in at her cage and can't see her anywhere, you sense you're being watched and there she is. Then you think, where did she come from.

Hammy has decided she's in posing mode at the moment. Got me up and down off my chair taking photos.

Managed to get a photo of her outside the cage. She can be a little wriggler.
