Hello everyone. I think Ive been a member of this forum for years but lost my original log-in details so have had to join again! I was also a member of Hamster Central and Hamster Hideout forums. Ive have had many hamsters in the past.
I'd like to introduce you to my current Syrian hammy Odysseus....Ody for short 😁
I adopted him when his current owner couldn't look after him any more. He's 6 months old and hes been in our family for 2 months. He's a shy gentle boy 🤎

He's a gorgeous boy :-) He's a lovely colour - he looks quite large as well, is he? Such lovely photos! That fourth one down looks good for this month's photo competition :hamsterthumbs:

Ahh thankyou. I think one particular photo with his back towards me makes him look quite big, but he isn't really!
But he has become more solid since he came to live with us.....all the good food 😂
Aww, I may just enter him in the competition then 🥰

Not sure if you remember from being here before, but some members have a "diary" thread for their hamster under the species section - just the hamster's own thread really - and update it with progress, photos, videos etc which others follow :-) If you'd like to do one for Ody!

It looks amazing :-) And what a lovely wooden sign with his name on! What does it say in brackets after his name, I can't quite read it? Did you make that? It looks very professional!

Maybe you could add it to the show us your cage setups thread :-) It gives some new hamster owners inspiration and ideas looking through that thread.

Thankyou for the feedback for his enclosure!
Its a wooden sign I bought from an Etsy seller. It has a hamster engraved on it and says '_lives here' and they add the name. You can buy one with string so you can hang it up or one with a sticky back.
Its says Ody(sseus) ☺️
