My new rescue dog.. Snoop 🐶

Snoop has had a good few days, making the most of the nice weather. He's loving all the walkers that go by .. on their way to the beach and coastal views. They seem to like him too! He's making the most of his bench time, I just don't know how he's going to adjust to not having his precious bench time when winter arrives he loves it so much! Here's a picture!

Snoop and I had a morning to ourselves this morning, hubby had to go to the doctor's for his routine yearly check up. I did wonder how snoop would react to no hubby! Normally he doesn't like it when hubby goes anywhere without him I decided the best thing to do is make things fun and exciting so I involved him in everything I did and just ran every where and turned mundane things into a game! He loved it and so did I (we were mainly running around in the garden, not the house) He thought some weeding was great fun.. mummy your pulling things out of the ground !! Till he decided to madly dig at the geraniums ooops nevermind! Love you snoopy

Glad you managed to keep him distracted! And yes that used to be my experience a long time ago. If you dig the garden they copy you and start digging up things

Snoop is having a lovely summer, he really likes the garden and would stay outside all day it was left to him. He really thinks we're being mean when we bring him indoors! At the moment he's sat by the gate waiting for the bin man that always brings him a biscuit ( he literally hasn't moved now for about half an hour) everyime he hears an engine his tail gives a gentle wag then stops as he realises it's not the bin man. I hope he comes soon for Snoops sake. Bless him Ness

That's really nice the bin man brings him a biscuit At least Snoop doesn't scare him away and see him off! But then I suppose if he has a biscuit he won't do that! Maybe it's bin man protection ha ha. I'm sure some dogs do chase them.

It is nice that they give him a biscuit, but it's always supervised by us. He's never outside alone. Ness

Snoop has been helping me with the chickens today, it's still been very hot , although we did have heavy rain in the night, I'm sure the garden loved that I suddenly realised that when I told you about the chickens I didn't tell you about their xylophone they love to bang it with their beaks

Snoop had a great day today he had a play date with his best friend olive ( the black Labrador) that lives next door. They get on so well together it's really lovely to watch and it does him good to socialise. It's lovely to see how gentle he is with her and when her daddy went to look at our greenhouse snoop sat with her as though to say.. don't worry I'll stay with you! So sweet I just wish I'd taken a picture. Ness

It's extremely hot here over the past two days , so the three of us are taking it easy. We are doing the jobs but then stopping for a while afterwards. Snoop is being very good, I think even he's finding it too hot we have to keep spraying water over the coop to try and make things more bearable for the chickens l love summer but this is getting a bit silly now. It's the animals I feel for, it's getting life threatening. I've found the chickens quite like a cucumber cut in half it's really refreshing if straight from the fridge.. they love it. My phone is showing a shower next week, I hope it happens. Ness
