New Hamster coming this week :-)

I found my rodipet ceramic toilet doesn't fit in the Happy Henry homes houses! Got one for Raffy recently and have the medium size for the new hamster. The plastic trixie toilets do fit though.

I still need one of those for Blossom! She chewed through her plastic toilet 😏

Thank you :) I was just thinking alls well that ends well. Molly has a lovely new home and the little Syrian boy is coming to a new home and a nicer cage.
Sometimes things work out differently to what we expect but this seems ment to be that little fella needed you more than Molly did. Looking forward to seeing his pictures

Aw. It will fit in one compartment but Raffy didn't see that as a toilet compartment ha ha. I'll need to keep them though in case I change the houses. The current one for the new hamster is only a medium size but all I had at short notice.

Catching up with this wonderful news. He will have a loving home with you Maz.
The only remaining question is - who will be the most demanding male in your home now…..?!

Yes there are a few! I think it will be Raffy though. It'll be interesting to see what the new boy's personality is. Two like Raffy and I'll have my hands full!

Not such good news! I have the cage all set up and ready and was about to collect tomorrow and the "seller" has messaged to say they are going to keep the hamster after all! So I've politely suggested a cage upgrade would be needed and linked the forum.

That’s a real shame & must be such a disappointment for you, I hope they follow the link & learn to care for the hamster if they’re going to keep it now.

So do I. Yes it's disappointing - I even have a shortlist of names - based on what he looked like partly. But I'm leaving it behind now. Cage is all ready to go if I can find one but there aren't any in my area at the moment.

Aww I’m so sorry about the adoption falling through Maz, such a real shame! But as everyone says, I really hope their willingness to keep him means they put in the time to learn about proper hamster care and make the necessary changes to improve his quality of life. Your new hammy is out there, he/she will be with you before you know it!

Still going to take in a new one soonish?
I would like to. It’s very difficult finding Syrians in my area - there just aren’t any! We do live out in the sticks but even in larger cities 2 hours away there are only a couple! And they don’t come up that often. I would have been travelling 2 hours to pick this one up.

I had my heart set on another make Syrian but maybe a Robo will come up (which would mean changing the cage set up somewhat!)
