She had a lovely long life with you and wonderful care - it was her time. But it is so incredibly hard for us when they go. I know it is too soon to think about this maybe, but what I find can help with grief, is to get another hamster. They are all different and a new baby hamster makes you laugh, which helps with the grief and they need us. I usually need at least two weeks to think about getting another one, some people need longer, some people do it straight away. One of the hardest things about the grief is suddenly not having the familiar care habits of feeding and routines, and having another one helps with that as you still have the routines.
But they do leave a big hole in our hearts. And another hamster won't replace her, but there is always room in our hearts for another hamster to help heal that though. It can help if they are a different colour or species.
In time you'll remember all the happy memories.
