Robin posing.

I'm sorry to hear that. Whereabouts is the lump and how big is it? A leg seems an unusual place for a lump so was just wondering if she could have injured it possibly rather than anything more unusual - if that makes sense.

I am sorry to hear you are dealing with a health concern again with lovely Robin 😔. I wonder if the vet could have injected her on her leg or used a leg vein for an IV line (if that's possible in hamsters). I hope it's not dangerous. Wishing you strength 🙏

They can't do IV lines on hamsters :-) The vast majority of vets can't even find a blood vessel - the blood vessels are so tiny. It's possible it might have been an injection site, depending on which part of the leg it is.

Hopefully it's nothing serious - fingers crossed. Or at least not something that will bother her.

Thanks Maz,it's on her thigh,if you were looking at her undeeneath,it's where her right leg,the skinny bit, meets her fleshier thigh it is quite prominent ,but doesn't seem to bother her. But will Def get her checked

Thankyou,I just feel so sorry for her,she has done so well through all of this. And she comes out today for cuddles and I find this. She is so cuddly too, bruxing and everything,my little darling.

I wonder if it's a swollen joint? If hamsters have knees!

That's what I am really hoping it is. I did think about that ,but literally everything is a worry at the mo,as the other side is fine. I do describe hamsters as being in little straight jackets of fur ,with only their hands and feet showing lol

Hope all is ok- what a worry for you. Xx

I hope the vet can diagnose and treat it quickly. Wishing Robin good recovery and comfort 🙏🥰

Seems like a swollen "knee" joint to me. It could be an infection type lump- hopefully it's as simple as that and that the vet and antibiotics will sort that :-) I can speak from personal experience having had a large painful lump on my knee in the past that was some kind of infected lump that appeared from nowhere, and antibiotics sorted it :-) Fingers crossed.

Robin has the vets at 18.00 today. Poor little baby, she enjoyed playing and cuddles earlier . I didn't expect to get this appointment today,so will have to dig her back out of bed later bless her.

I hope it will be something that is easy to treat and not sore. Good luck at the appointment today 🥰🙏❤️

Update on Robins vet visit that we managed to get today..Jordi believes it is a benign tumour ,but took diagnostics to double check. We will get the results in a couple of days. Poor little Robin had to be gassed whilst they did this, and was so good with the vet nurse once she came back around. She is sleeping in her carrier at the moment.
