It is very sad that there are so many things sold "for hamsters" that are so wrong for them 
I suspect it is similar for other small pets too unfortunately - each species has their own unique set of needs and they depend upon us as owners to meet them. Yes, hamster balls should simply not be available to buy.

It's great she is being herself - she really does look happy. Sorry your thread got a bit sidetracked there. Savvy is a lovely girl and I'm sure you'll be very bonded quite soon - she has such a sweet face.
