Little Pip (Pipkin) had passed away in his nest. He had been with me for over two years, adopted from Happy Hamsters at an unknown age but probably about three months.

Recently he came to the front of the cage and spent ages nose to nose with me and I think this was him saying goodbye. Things like that have happened before. They seem to know in advance.

Pip will be buried with his nest and his little chair with his name on it and one of his small teaspoons.

He kept going right up to the end and was in his wheel for a short time last night.

Sleep well little Pip and thank you for being a good little hamster and being there through some difficult times a couple of years ago.

I am so very sorry to hear little Pip has passed away. Pip was so sweet and I will always think of him when I see a small teaspoon.

I love that you will burry him with in his nest with his little chair and spoon. I am sure Pip would have loved that. We will all miss sweet Pip.

A lovely memorial for little Pip Maz.
Your nose to nose time was so special & so precious, memories to really treasure.
He was a lovely little ham & will be sadly missed here too.
Like Rainbow I will always be thinking of him when I see a little teaspoon, especially when I lose one.
Lovely idea to bury him in his nest with his chair & spoon.

It’s a very emotional time & it never gets any easier but he had a great life & lived to such a good age, he couldn’t have wanted for more.

Run free & play well at the bridge Pip 🌈 ❤️

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. As Jain said, Pip was a regular here in the forum, too, so we will all miss him.

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear your sad news…losing a much loved pet is always a really sad time 💔🐹

Thank you everyone.

You and Pip were very lucky to have eachother. Pip will be sadly missed here on the forum. I too will always think of Pip when ever I see a tiny teaspoon. 💕

Thank you Frida.

Pip is in a corner of the garden with Newt, Nugget and Pickle’s ashes in the same area. I planted the pot grown chaenomelese there that I got in the spring plus some periwinkles, a cowslip plant and a geranium which were all in pots previously. It is protected with stones on the ground and wire grid round the area for a while but we will put big stones round the base of the wire grid later as well.

The chaenomeles has one small quince fruit on and can grown up the wall behind.

Goodbye to little Pip across the rainbow bridge. I am so very sorry at this news Maz.
He was a little sweetheart even if a little reclusive at times. He had a good long and loving life with you and after being rescued, that must have been blissful for him.
His final resting place is very peaceful and with the others. I loved his little chair with his name and the spoon just makes us all chuckle.
Farewell sweet Pip. Play well with the others across the bridge but especially Nugget. Your loving Mum is so sad that you have left her, so a sign that all is well with you now will be welcomed. ❤️

That’s a lovely spot for Pip with the other hams too.
It will look beautiful when the quince gets going & is in flower, the other plants will be lovely too.

Thank you Coco. x

Thanks Elusive.

That is such a lovely resting place for sweet Pip. The lovely flowers will be a special way to remember him.

Maz, I’m so very sorry to hear little Pip has passed away. He truly had the most enjoyable years with you and was so dearly loved, he has lived his best life and will be playing with the other Hams at the rainbow bridge. He will be missed on the forum with his cute little face and paws. Its such a sad time when we lose a beloved pet, but you have so many memories to cherish always, will be thinking of you, sending hugs 🌈

Thank you Zara x

I'm so sorry to hear this, Pip was such a lovely hamster and he will be missed on here. It is so nice you got to say goodbye and he lived a great life with you.
You've given him a nice resting spot. As with the others, I'll always think of him, whenever I'm missing a tiny teaspoon.
Thinking of you
