South Yorkshire Dry thunder and lightning storm last night bit of rain this morning not enough to water the garden or put anything in the water butt's but it has freshened things up. Pete was really lively around 8 a.m most mornings think he must have known it was going to be very hot later in the day only came out for a cuddle at lunchtime but fell asleep on me.

Torrential rain here for about an hour - now it's hot and sunny again.

Cool rain this morning - bliss

Still hot and clammy here, despite the downpour yesterday. It's not like me to be clammy at all! No sun though - it's cloudy. I think Raffy was affected yesterday as he came out of his house during the day at one point and wandered around - but then went back in again. He seemed fine when out last night. Pip has just disappeared.

Feels more comfortable here too. Sunny but not so hot - last few days were grey and muggy/humid.

So much cooler today, thank goodness! The nights have been awful, so humid. I've had the door open til really late to keep air circulating for Ham.

It is 26.5c here and feels hot. Sprite is trying to keep cool by sleeping on his tile.

Have you tried sprinkling a little bit of water on his tile? That’s supposed to help keep it cooler.

I havent. I was unsure incase he does not like it. I could try and hope he does not stop using it.

It might be worth trying just a little bit not too close to where he sleeps, it’s the evaporation that’s supposed to cool things down so it doesn’t have to be too close too him.
