Teddy was up around 3to4hours Monday night he had a pea and a small piece of broccoli on his dish . Because he was very adventurous by having his dandelion root the night before I thought let's go for it and I put a piece of nettle root on his dish! Well I got up this morning and thought unbelievable he's actually ate that as well celebrations.. cartwheels I was so proud! During the day I've been doing a bit of tidying in the enclosure only to find the piece of nettle root, it had tucked itself under his water bottle tray. Now wether it was by accident or he thought NO thanks and pushed it under there I don't know! So I'll try it again later.Ness

Teddy had a good night last night,he was up around 4 hours he's a lovely boy with such a gorgeous facebut he's still avoiding my phone ! So no photos still. He probably thinks that he's so handsome and you just couldn't take it (vain) I did his dish last night with two peas and his Nibblot, I was going to put the nettle root in again but decided to go for the dandelion root again just a small piece and yes dish cleared! He's still having tiny nibbles of his carrot nothing remarkable to make me jump up and down but at least he's still having a go! Ness

He sounds like he’s having a great time and he’s a clever boy trying new things. Had to laugh at the nettle root being put somewhere odd. It must either mean it’s special or it’s been rejected! Or he just put it down and forgot where he put it .

Higgins doesn’t like the phone pointing at him either - he goes slow and cautious. What he really hates though is the noise - if taking a photo or the ping when a video starts. So I turn the sound off now and he accepts the odd bit of phone pointing.

I'm only mentioning this fact because for the first time teddy didn't eat his Nibblot and I'm wondering if he actually missed me getting up... No I don't suppose so more likely he's got bored with the Nibblot. I'll give him a break from them for a while. Ness

I think they might be a bit awkward to pouch sometimes depending on what else is on the menu. I used to break off the corners sometimes

Maybe his hoard is overflowing . Have you tried the complete crocks (versele laga). They are similar but I preferred them .

Of cause! That makes total sense that his hoard is overflowing, he does fill his pouches every night! I'll leave them off the menu till his pantry goes down Ness

Thank you, teddy was up around 3to4hours last night! I only put his veg on his dish last night, he just had two peas. I know he always eats his veg at his dish before he does anything else, so no Nibblot last night! He did his usual thing.. cleaning and foraging then filled his pouches and then off to bed Ness

I am still curious about those Nibblots

They are little pillow shaped biscuity treats with softer vegetable based centres, often carrot flavoured. The corners are quite sharp though and I would sometimes find them discarded by the sand bath, perhaps because they were a bit uncomfortable in the pouch while digging

Hi everyone, Teddy was very active last night.He really enjoyed his carrot on his dish and he also ate his Nibblot ( yes I gave in) . He did his usual cleaning himself and foraging then it was very amusing how he tried to get his big carrot down his burrow he couldn't do it of course it's way to big! But it was very funny to watch! Ness
