The next heat wave!

Here’s the new air purifier. It has an app for turning it on and off, checking air quality and to remind you when to hoover the filter (once a month). Two year warranty. I have it in auto so it quietly filters the air or speeds up if the air quality gets bad. There is also sleep mode, which turns off the light and has it in the lowest fan setting. And turbo mode to turn the fan right up. You can change the colour of the light - or turn it off. Intended as a nightlight for a child’s bedroom apparently. Or an adult bedroom! It’s big enough to do both downstairs rooms and a bit of staircase area.

You can feel cool air from it - and it’s actually quite cool today already! So might leave it in sleep mode until it gets warmer again! But extremely quiet - I can’t hear anything.

Good job I opened it up to see where the filter sits first because the filter was inside a plastic bag inside it! So if we had just turned it on it wouldn’t be working if there was a plastic bag round the filter. Did read the instructions but …. They were mainly diagrams which I don’t find easy - took us ages to with out how to unscrew the top to take the filter out - only to find out you had to unscrew the bottom 😂. After watching a YouTube video. There is also a little removable panel on the side with what looked like an Ethernet cable socket.., asked Google AI about that and apparently that’s a clever sensor that detects the air quality.

I like being able to adjust or turn it on and off from my phone - and it can be turned on and off by Alexa as well if you connect that up. You can just use it with the buttons on top and no WiFi though.

It looks very good 👍 I hope it helps with your asthma 🙏 but I am sure it will and it will be a great help when humidity rises 🫶

Thank you. It’s only really needed in very hot weather or in winter when the heating is on really as I’m ok usually otherwise. The asthma still isn’t quite settled down though so glad to have it now. Not sure how popular it will be in winter if it makes the air cooler!

Its lovely, I think it will make a big difference. I know with mine even smells disappear really quickly. Yours is very advanced. I like that you can hoover the filter ❤

It should keep us all healthy though and prevent the hamster catching viruses! It filters out viruses as small as Covid apparently.

Your air purifier looks and sounds very much like my hoover 300 👍 I made a big discovery today! Some of my breathing difficulties are caused not by asthma, but by Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder which is causing my airways to collapse…as well as the asthma! My symptoms have been especially puzzling over the past month (although looking back, I can think of many times when it has been puzzling) and now I know why!

I’m sorry to hear that 🙁. Is there some physio that can help with that?

As for me I am freezing 😂. Shivery - sat near the air purifier too long and it’s quite a cool day. Might have to leave it in sleep mode till it gets warmer - it’s been quite a chilly day here anyway.

I am sure it will help, I have heard a lot of good reviews on similar ones. Especially people with allergies, they are highly recommended here in Germany
