Wee Chubbs

It’s a sad today, little Chubbs has gone to hamster heaven. It felt like I had the little
Guy a lot longer than I did. I was just looking at my first post introducing him and it was only around this time last year. But who knows how old he was when I got him! I gave him a good life and I buried him on the side of the house in the sunshine and looking out at the pasture! Aside from one hamster I had as a kid that I’m sure I did not particularly appreciate as much as I should have, he was my first hamster and man, are they great little creatures! He was such a friendly soul. I had him out for his banana the other day and he LOVED banana! But I had noticed he’d slowed down but I chalked it up to winter as he always seemed perkier in the summer (don’t we all?). It looks like he just went peacefully curled up in his sleep buried in his “treasures” as I always called them!!!! I think I will probably get another hamster that needs to be spoiled. One of those “the kids have lost interest” little guys. I have Chubb’s big Detolf cage and lots of hamster happy toys for another little guy and I will keep you all updated!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Chubbs He was so lucky to have had a home with you, and yes he was probably older than you realised. I really hope you find another hamster who wants a home soon They all have their own personalities.
