Going by the state of their wheels in the morning, Bernard and Finley must be doing a lot of wheeling during the night.
They run, eat, pee and poop on them a good part of the night i think. There are always poops in front of Bernard's wheel and in Finley's sand.
I suppose that explains why Bernard refuses to take a taxi to the playground. He has his Robo mate to compete against which seems to be more fun.

Ha ha. Robo races. Surprised Bernard doesn't want to come out? Is he aware of the new arrivals maybe?

No, he lives downstairs with Finley. Bernard knows his taxi but won't walk into it to come out. He must have been talking to Finley, haha.
Bernard walks onto my hand to get the seeds but jumps off as soon as i try to raise it or attempt to stroke him.
I'm fine with whatever he wants but offer him his taxi now and again in case he ever changes his mind.

All the hamsters had a piece of pecan nut as a treat tonight. That's Bernard nibbling on his.

Bernard walked into his taxi tonight. He's running on the big saucer in the playground just now. He rarely wants to come out but now and again he does. He even let me stroke him while he was on my hand.

They do. There's a small saucer as well but he's always prefered the 12" one. Lilly also runs on the big saucer.

Eddie's up now but he won't come out of his wheel!

Doubt it. I think he got what he wanted.
He was allover me on arrival maybe telling me that he wanted to stay.
Maybe he wanted out of the small cage telling me that he wanted a bigger one.
He didn't like the 10in open wheel but loves the 9in enclosed one.
All speculation on my part of course but i do know that hamsters communicate well.
