Cardboard creations

Wow some great cardboard ideas there! Pringles tubes are good too 🐹. By the way there is a hamster smiley in the smileys :) I just used it to show it.

I also like that ten toilet roll toys video - I've made the food parcels from that before. I always intended to make the hammock as well but made an egg box hammock instead.

That's amazing!

I made a couple of cardboard boredom breaker treats for the new hamster coming on Sunday :) One was a pyramid from inside an egg box and the other a toilet roll. I used a half egg box to make one for Raffy. For some reason my flour and water glue didn't stick very well this time. Maybe too runny - so not that many seeds on them! Especially Raffy's which was an awkward shape to "dip" so had to press the seeds on. But there are enough seeds to keep it interesting I think.

Half egg box with the pyramids for Raffy (so many fell off so I just left them in there! He'll enjoy just sitting in the egg box anyway and eating the pumpkin seeds.

I've done the pyramids before for our Robo (RIP). They have great fun with them. I partly did the pyramid bit originally because I could never work out how to cut out the round egg sections, while negotiating the pyramid bit in the middle!

So how do you manage to cut out the round parts Blossom? :ROFLMAO: When I try it leaves one edge a bit open.

I used the pyramids to make Blossoms ice cream kiosk. And yes, it does leave a bit of a gap in the round bit, but given that she’s going to shred it to pieces, I guess it doesn’t matter that much lol 😏

Ah right! So you snipped the bottoms off the pyramids to make them that shape. I see now! Edit - no you didn't! You poked the pointy bottom part through the holes in the tube? Very clever - looks lovely.

Maz, I had a thought...I snip the pyramids off the egg box first, before I cut anything else...I just cut the pyramid tips off. It means they are quite teeny, but then the round bits are more intact 👍

Good thinking!
