Yes, he came running back to me asking to go home.
I think some of it could be from hoards Lilly hides around the room.

I can imagine Lilly having a tantrum now ha ha. Clive looks well and cheeky (literally) on that photo!

I had to sort Clive's house out just now. He stuffed so much bedding in it the roof lifted off!

Oh wow, he loves a cosy packed nest! just imagine his little face if he starts to see daylight through the roof, that would be a puzzle for him, he’d prob just add more and more bedding perhaps …….

Aw Clive loves stuffing his house :) I don't suppose he'd have liked the roof lifting off though! He would have blamed you for that probably!

I've noticed last night that Clive isn't quite as surefooted as he used to be. Ok, he was probably tired after freeroaming but it took him a couple of attempts to get to his ramp via his rainbow bridge.
I'm now glueing two rainbow bridges together to give him a more stable access bridge and a wider surface to step on.

He's at least 19 months now (l had him 16 months and he's a rescue) and probably has Cushings so i expect his needs to change in the next few months.

That's a really clever idea :)

Good idea with the two bridges, his needs will most likely change with time now but I have no doubt you’ll find ways to make his life as easy & good as possible.

I've already removed a large rough grass hide and put it in the playground. Clive's hairloss is getting worse and his skin is likely to get thinner making it more prone to minor cuts. I'm amending things without making changes wherever possible and will line his wicker tunnel with a cardboard tube before he wakes up.

What i'm looking into at the moment is a safe moisturizer. His skin is a little dry in places. I have read that coconut and nut oil is safe but i'm wondering if evening primrose oil would be a better option.
Does anybody know?

Coconut oil is safe to use, that’s probably the best thing to put directly onto the skin, you can apply evening primrose to the skin but it really works more effectively as a food supplement.

I think Aloe vera gel used to be recommended - if you get the natural organic one it should be safe to lick and non greasy. Although it would be better to actually use actual aloe leaf for the gel rather than a bought product. Whether he would lick it or not is another matter and it's possible a bought product could contain preservatives - not sure if that's the same with coconut oil. Coconut oil sounds good though. I think it can be quite sticky though.

I would be wary of using aloe vera gel, it is very bitter & also has laxative properties so maybe not so good for licking.

Ah ok then. It used to be recommended. It's very good for skin and soreness. So it would only be good if not licked. Which is uncertain.

I think I remember some people recommending it too but personally I wouldn’t, it’s also more healing than moisturising really.

Coconut oil seems very popular for all sorts these days anyway.
