Once Clive sleeps with his bum hanging out of his house it's time to prune his hoard and remove some bedding.

I've done that last night while he was freeroaming. He stuffs his house like a pillow and then runs out of space for himself.

All sorted now so he can start allover again.

Yum, banana, I bet he loved that! Lovely to see Clive hamstering around and looking well. Snuffle box is still a firm favourite here too. Had to chuckle about Clive sleeping with his bottom out as his hoard was so large, that’s funny.

It is funny :) He looks very pleased with himself with that bit of banana - coy almost.

Throw one of your missiles, Clive. That will get their attention.

Clive having a nibble of his egg.

I got the feeling that whatever ailment Clive has is now progressing.
His fur is thinning almost allover now and he has a pot belly. I knew he put on weight but it is not from overeating or a bad diet so it looks like it is caused by an illness of the endocrine system as mentioned by the vet six months ago. I weighed him tonight and he has gone up to 237g.
We decided to wait and see how it goes instead of going for tests because Clive gets extremely stressed when taken from his familiar environment.
He is still not showing any signs of pain or discomfort so i'm not taking him back to the vet at this point but need to keep an eye on his belly.

Clive's going a bit mad with his egg!

He's clearly enjoying it!

He's demolished it! He's even chewed the cardboard by the look of it. He must have really enjoyed that.

He obviously approved! Looks like he had a lot of fun with that, such a great idea for all of them.
Sorry to hear his condition seems to be progressing, the pot belly & weight gain could be fluid retention, I doubt there is anything the vet could do & as he seems happy & not showing any signs of pain or discomfort I’m sure you’re doing the best thing for him.

I just opened Clive's cage to spot clean his toilet, he looked out of his house, yawned and went back to bed!
