I can imagine Clive mooning you from his house 🤣 I'm sure he loves you in his own way.

Clive is in his house and i can only describe the atmosphere as eerie.

Otto has the whole area to himself and he's running around at speed. I don't think Otto is a sensitive hamster like Clive who was quite affected when Jack was heading for the rainbow bridge.

Oh Beryl, it's so sad that our little friends full of character and energy only have a short life span. Thinking of you, hopefully you've not got any night shifts booked in for the rest of the week so you can stay close 💕

I can imagine the atmosphere, it’s a sad & difficult time, thinking of you Beryl.

When Clive was in his sand jar last night i took him out to check him over to see if he's bloated. He wouldn't come out of the jar so i put him back. I saw that he looked hunched, had squinty eyes and the ears were down.
I suspect that he is uncomfortable now and he struggles to get to his water bottle. He used to drink a lot when he was fully mobile and now i hold his bottle to his mouth every few hours and he takes a few sips.

This is no life though, it's an existence waiting to die and he could go on for a while yet while he deteriorates further.

I made an emergency appointment with the vet today and i think that the most likely outcome will be to let Clive go. Hard as it is on me, i won't let my hamsters suffer.

I am so sorry to hear this. You are making the most selfless decision for precious Clive.

I’m so sorry Beryl, I really hoped both for him & you that he could have a peaceful end at home but you have to do what’s best for him, I know how hard that is.

I'm so sorry Beryl to hear this sad news about Clive. I think taking Clive to the vets is for the best. Thinking of you both 💕

Just wanted to say how sad I am for you Beryl. Your bond with Clive was so beautiful. He was a sensitive boy and you were able to reassure him and comfort him when he was nervous. That goes to show what a wonderful bond you shared.

I’m so sorry Beryl, Clive was such a lovely ham & there was something special there from the moment you saw him in the ad, you had a great bond with him & always treated him with such care & sensitivity right to the end, it’s a very sad time for you but Clive lived the best life he could have wished for & is at peace now.

Such sad news Beryl and thinking of you and the lovely Clive🌈

So sorry Beryl, Clive has lived his best life with you and you’ve always been there for him, taking extra special care of his needs. He truly was an amazing hamster friend. Thinking of you and sending hugs from us 🌈

So sorry Beryl. When I logged in and saw Clive was in two different sections on What's New, I guessed. It's so hard to do, but was done out of love and care and he's free from suffering now. Big hugs.

I am sure it is. But you are surrounded by robos so I’m sure they will comfort you. It’s not the same though when their presence is gone.

So sorry for your loss, but so glad that Clive had a good life with you and your hammies.
