Aw. Sometimes they just have a mind of their own. I had this issue with one hamster who had a three roomed house (it was a different design though - a long one with a room at each end and a smaller one in the middle with a top hole). He actually nested inside his potty and hoarded there as well . So I moved the potty to the other room. That worked for a bit then he moved his nest to the other room on top of the potty for a while. He got the hang of it eventually but I adapted the house and blocked the top hole and put a front door in it instead. Best bit was he was an extremely large Syrian hamster! In a potty with a nest and hoard :ROFLMAO:. You could maybe try moving the litter tray to a different room and his nest to a different room?

I don’t really like the idea of moving his nest again as he’s not long been in the new house. I’m going to see how it goes over the next couple of weeks. Thank you though 😁

He'd probably just move it back again anyway :ROFLMAO: But yes sounds good to just see how it goes.
