Thanks Zara! He's a little sweetheart (most of the time). I made a batch of fresh wheat bread, and realized it's hamster safe. Shared a piece of grilled cheese with Henry. He took breaks to savor the flavor, and licked his paws clean for while at the end.

It's a big slice but he's always responsible with his special treats. He doesn't go overboard and leaves them when he's done, so makes it very easy on me.

He’s loving that! On the second one you can see how determined he is by his posture and his left back leg supporting his efforts to do it justice 😊. He must be very happy with that special treat. Nice to see he accepts stroking as well.
 
Henry has had a good rest of the week, he's been doing daily adventures for about 15 minutes each. Today he wasn't sure if he wanted one, so I set up a flax Hunt. It made him think and he decided it was taxi time.

Big Decisions

I might try to film a whole adventure, today's was adorable. He had a ball on the clothes mountain, and I thought it would be fun to remind him he can zoom from my room to the couch. He followed along and stayed about a bit extra.
 
Ah, the video isn't working unfortunately. Great to hear that he is enjoying his adventures! ❤️
 
Henry seems to be slowing down and using his tile more. I'm thinking his age is starting to show. He still wants the taxi, just explores at a slower pace. Still does some full speed zooms when he wants, I don't see anything wrong with his gait or legs.

I got some footage of his outing tonight, he's getting extra peanuts and still young enough at heart to ferry them to the couch

It's sad that we have a short time with these little animals who are so sweet and affectionate. He has the best life a hammy can have with you ❤️
 
Henry has been much more active the past 2 weeks. He asked for a second adventure yesterday, and I'm happy to see him going full speed & exploring to his heart's content.

He also got a second chance to play with some snow, caught him playing with the last bits before it melted.

I will film tomorrow's adventure in its entirety.

Aw he's really enjoying that flax :-) The second video is great - that look on his face of curiosity and surprise after having his nose in the snow, the little walk across the snow and then - hey run away! He is so fast on the third one - nice tunnel :-) That's a good idea for a tunnel - is it a large plastic water bottle with the ends chopped off?

It's just the peanut jar, when I'm down to a few I set it somewhere for Henry to find on his next adventure
 
I bet he loves that! One of mine used to like to get in the pumpkin seed box and go wild ha ha.
