That’s great that Henry has made himself a nice burrow, he’s really making himself at home in there now! My Chinese are all like that with the entrances to their burrows, I have to pretend I don’t know it’s there!
Lovely to see him exploring his lid up on his cork tunnel there, having a good look round.

We have a thunderstorm going on, and it scared little Henry bad. He went into his corner and started crying, loud high pitched squeaks every few seconds (not a screech). I came out to give him some reassurances + treats, and it seemed to help. Poor guy was so scared he fell over at the start of the video

I'm so happy for Henry, he has indeed been building a burrow system at long last. I caught a glimpse of it from the side today, the tunnel by his castle goes a foot down and branches off towards the wheel & sandbath area. He's been spending a good amount of time expanding and enjoying it. I also got a picture of one of his entrances, it's the food express (and yes he tried to pull his food dish in). He also has another entrance inside the castle too, must like extra options.

Henry is still being a sweetie with interactions, we finally did his long overdue adventure. He also used the hamster taxi for the first time too, and we had about 20 minutes of him zooming around my bed & room. I got some sniffs and a lick on the ear, he likes hanging out by my shoulder. He immediately did some rolls in the sandbath after returning.

Aw, how exciting! Henry has settled in so well and he is so happy. It must have been lovely to spend time with him on your bed and he even gave you a kiss.

Haha, funny how they have a sand bath roll to get that offensive human smell off them. My dwarf Gertie used to do that every single time after human contact.

Henry is still having a ball tunneling, he spent most of the day digging. He called for me late at night for a mini interaction. He was bruxing constantly, don't know if you can hear it.

I figured out the hard way Henry's wheel needed adjusting, it was going too slow and needed to be oiled. Seems like that's why he was a bit less active recently, I feel dumb for not picking up on it. He immediately started sprinting as fast as he could, and has been extra happy to see me the past two days since. He also climbed up my arm today, and hung out on the couch a bit. I think he's ready for his next adventure, I'll have to have some more things for him to do this time.

He's gotten too good at figuring out the treat balls, so I've made them a bit harder + a new roller toy. He decided it was too much work and called it a day. He also shared a lot of stories, I'd imagine about all the digging he's doing. There's a new chamber at the bottom of his original home under the sandbath, always makes me happy to see him making the space his own.
