He ended up hanging out in my room for four hours, a new record! I adjusted his hide and platform, but there's the right way, then there's the hamster way.

Henry is so affectionate and smart! Making sure you have something nice to eat, sweetie!

Come to think of it, he did pull out a pouched seed and ate it once in my room. Maybe he wanted to do a snack together

Henry again went for another 3 hour adventure, it seems he prefers the backup wheel instead of the Niteangel. I brought it over for a side by side comparison, and it was fun watching him investigate both of them! He was checking out all the surfaces, and nibbled the centerpieces on both. Was clear he was trying to figure out what made them operate differently, there was some level of intelligence & problem solving to it. A couple times he tried running at different speeds on the opposite wheel, seeing if he could stop quickly on the Niteangel like he does on the backup wheel and vice versa.

He loves going full speed, but found in the end being able to control the stop better was most important. Went ahead and put it in his enclosure, it will be interesting to see how much adventure he wants this week. I'm guessing less, but he will still want to explore occasionally.

Smart fellow! It is fascinating how clever hamsters are. Seeing them enjoy their wheels is such fun!

Henry asked for together time everyday this weekend He still demands 15 minutes of together time, and now I know what whisker kisses are. He brushed against me a lot yesterday.

I did get footage of his human summoning technique, he always gets up on his castle first thing in the morning and kicks the bin. He was a bit peeved I was taking time to film it, he also kicked the staircase of the castle after a few steps down.

We've gone a long way from his "all done" flumps to daily together time. Love him so much!

Absolutely, I love our quality time! Long overdue to give him his digbox tonight, he needs more things to do.

Had to chuckle at the kicking of the staircase and bin, it clearly works a summoning technique . Can just imagine Henry’s little face as you were trying to capture it.

Henry got up for a midnight snack and asked for couch time. He gave me a polite no to pets, which was him hugging and licking my finger:

Henry looks so calm just sitting there and enjoying his mealworms. He was very polite when he told you no pets.

It was cute when he hugged your finger! Looking for more mealworms maybe It's my day of rest he seems to be saying

He is super gentle now, such a good communicator! He was just saying no to pets at the moment, after that clip he pawed at the bin for couch time. Only about 25% of the time he will accept pets, I don't try it too often anymore.

Henry loves giving affection though, lately I get a good deal of grooming and whisker kisses. That and adventures in my territory are his favorite ways of showing his love.

But it absolutely is his day now that the adventure is over!

You have such a lovely way with Henry. You always let him guide you and respect his wishes. As a result you have a beautiful bond and Henry loves you.
