Henry

Aw he's a little old man - weak legs is quite common at times :) He's loving that flatbread. I fancy a bit myself! Did you make it? Is it just almond flour water and a bit of fat?

Yup, and a tiny bit of salt. I appreciate the optimism Maz, but tonight I thought he was having his death rattle. He was unresponsive to a decent amount of touch, eventually got up and demanded an adventure. I took a clip to show to his vet

Henry is the most strong willed creature I've ever encountered of any size, unfortunately that probably includes masking issues :( I will be taking him to the vet, she knows best. Thank goodness they are open tomorrow.

He does look really worn out there and not so good, but he came round. I know what you mean though. It's a difficult time.

Hey guys, the vet ruled out a stroke. He wouldn't have gotten up and demanded an adventure so quickly if it was. Possibilities are low blood sugar or a seizure, there isn't much that can be done for the little guy. The best thing I can do is continuing to try everything to get him to eat. The half opened sunflower seeds he is going for, he still wants to do everything on his own.

Henry seems to be a little better the past two days, he's on his wheel a lot and currently on a late adventure. Got him doing his happy face in the kitchen. Mobility is the same, but he's found his energy again.

Handsome little chap 😍 Glad to hear he is active and enjoying life ❤
Go Henry!
Maybe he was happy to see his favourite vet again :-) He really is a little trooper.
Thanks for your support guys, it was a lot of fun seeing him out and about last night. Don't know if I shared this one before but he's so great with taking his medicine:

Henry found a stick under the couch and brought it to me a couple times until I let him try what was on it. I made him some ice cream to try, it's coconut milk and heavy cream. He really enjoyed it, also got him to have some wheat today too. Quality adventure for the little guy.

You are making my mouth water! Coconut milk ice cream :-)

I don't really like ice cream usually as it's sweet and too cold for my teeth ha ha! I prefer just cream (ie strawberries and cream). But I do like water ices and sorbets - the fruity ones (also a bit too sweet sometimes) and the coconut milk ice cream just sounded so nice. Because I love fresh coconut! Must get some - I used to be able to get coconut pieces from the supermarket - would give some to the hamsters (who also loved it) and eat the rest myself!

That's funny, I added a piece of strawberry to Henry's cream today. You guys have similar tastes! Have you ever had toasted coconut? It's absolutely delicious
He is having such a lot of lovely experiences. So so so sweet seeing him take his medicine.
Thank you, he's still determined to have adventures almost every day. Precious moments with the old little guy, he's priceless to me.

I'm afraid his mobility is slightly worse on today's adventure. He can no longer climb his beloved castle, though I'm leaving it in his enclosure as he uses the inside of it now for a nap spot. His spirit is still as determined as ever, mainly explored around my room and chatted a bunch tonight. He also threw a new kind of tantrum at his food dish, was kicking bits out he didn't like when he couldn't find more sunflower seeds. Those are his new favorite, having them half opened gives him something obtainable to bite into and "earn". Still obstinate and doesn't like direct treat giving, he refuses to let being old stop him
