Haha, that was funny to see Orko's little legs dangling and going like mad.

I thought Lilly's loft was sorted but no, the little madam gave me another headache.

She decided to do some major digging up there and purposely blocked the connecting hole by back shovelling the aspen onto it.
While clearing it Lilly came racing out of her shed (thought she was downstairs) and blocked it again.
I know they often block doors of houses and hides, tunnels and tubes etc with substrate.
My worry was that she wouldn't find her way down again but she wasn't happy with me interfering.
I came up with this solution of placing a wooden cube in front of the hole so the substrate will block that instead.
I thought Lilly would go round the cube when she comes up but i just watched her go through it.

She seems happy with her set up now and keeps herself busy. I watched her yesterday running around with mouthfuls of Kaytee she was moving from a tube entrance to her coconut. She run up and down ladders and shelves at speed to complete her mission.

This set up was meant to be temporary until i can move a detolf in the spring but i won't get a detolf if she's happy with her Hamster Heaven, loft extension and freeroaming time.

She's such a busy little bee :) . Yes they can sometimes block entrances between cages as they do with house doors. It must be instinctive. It's the same when two cages are connected with a tube - they can block the tube. It must be a security thing or something.

What has Lilly been up to recently? :) I am missing her antics!

I think she's in a huff. I went to work around 17.00 yesterday and came home at 16.00 today but my OH was home overnight and gave the hamsters their fresh food.
When i came home i noticed that Lilly had dug up her cage and knocked over her water bowl. And then i noticed her empty food bowl on top of her cage.....
I remember emptying the leftover herby bits out but i think i may have forgotten to refill the bowl and put it back in her cage.
Lilly wouldn't have gone hungry because she must have huge hoards the way she puts it away but i think that she threw a tantrum and isn't talking to me now.
I refilled her bowl soon as i noticed it and she was in it a few minutes later but she hasn't asked to come out yet.

I've done that once with Rodney. Thought i had fed him his fresh food until my OH asked me why Rodney is running in circles around his fresh food bowl.

Aww hopefully she will forgive you once she gets some free roaming time.

I'm sure she'll want to be out soon!

Lilly's revenge i think by chucking the coco soil out.

This little dustpan and brush set and the little Vax clears up the mess the hamsters make in no time.

Lol. What on earth is Clive doing to make all that racket?!

He doesn't like it when someone else is out so he lets me know by chewing the bars. I push cardboard through the bars and he chews that instead but makes quite a racket. He's never been the quiet type.

She really is a little turbo ham! Love seeing her in the dig boxes 😍& a great soundtrack from Clive there 😆
