She either has an instinct that its meds time at 16.00 or she can smell it. She comes running as soon as i call her.

Lilly has perked up and spends more time out of her cage but she still heads for the hide or helmet to sleep and ignores the digbox.

I have seen her briefly in her loft yesterday but she doesn't use it now and mainly sleeps in the little ceramic hide in the main cage.

She hasn't lost weight which is good and weighs 53g which surprised the vet because she's so small.

Not sure if i mentioned it already but i'm planning on upgrading her while she's in the hospital cage. I don't feel comfortable with her going up and down the loft now and without the loft the HH isn't spacious enough to accommodate all her things.

I bought her a Plaza before which i returned due to a dodgy door but can't help thinking that the Plaza is too high for a dwarf.

I'm now considering the XL Grosvenor. A top door would work for Lilly because she leaves her cage via a taxi anyway.

For days i've been unable to decide which one to order.

The black or the grey?

I'm leaning towards the black but not enough to place an order.

Opinions please.
Black is trendy but grey won't show dust

I quit Amazon ages ago as its more expensive and they leave items by the front door when no one is in.
I've seen the black and grey one from Little pets warehouse for £69.99 and free delivery and from Poppy@pets on ebay for £76.99 and free two day delivery.

Where does anybody else buy their cages from when they buy new?

The place that's selling them cheapest ha ha! Amazon is often more expensive than other places for cages, strangely. They sell the Plaza at much more than PAH sell it for.

Amazon price is higher than Little Pet Warehouse price. I think Little Pet Warehouse will be the cheapest as I think it's one of their cages. Although not entirely sure about that.

I haven’t bought a new cage for such a long time but I have used little pet warehouse in the past & was happy with them, a while ago now though.

Although there is delivery charge to consider too. Do Little Petwarehouse charge for delivery on top? That might make it more expensive than getting it somewhere else, even if it costs a bit more, if delivery charge is included.

It looks like standard shipping is £3.99 and Express shipping is £7.99. Standard shipping is 1 to 3 business days from the time of ordering (so wouldn't arrive till next week). They also do a next day delivery service, which is presumably "Express shipping". So still a couple of pounds cheaper than Amazon even if delivery is free! I use Amazon a lot though and haven't had any issues. Plus they're good if there's a problem.

There is the Free delivery option as well but don't know how long that would take.

I'd like it on Friday but would probably make more sense to wait and see how Lilly gets on Thursday before buying her a new cage.

So sorry to hear Lilly has suddenly become unwell, what a shock for you. She’s such a good girl though to be taking her meds and the hospital cage looks just perfect. I’ll be thinking of you both and keeping her in my prayers.

Where did you order it from in the end?

Poppy@pets off ebay. Free and quick delivery.

The little pet warehouse does free delivery over £29 but it said to allow up to 7 working days.

Depending on how the surgery goes, i can't imagine Lilly staying in the hospital cage for long. I can set up the grosvenor with a basic set up and add her rougher textured things and sand etc later.

Ooh that's good service :) It's always exciting getting a new cage.

Vets just phoned me and reminded me to bring a packed lunch for Lilly.
I had already thought of that but like the way they care.
