I'm glad the cage has been found. Can you return the more expensive one? It's raining here and has cooled down nicely. I had to rush my book nook off to the kitchen as rain was coming through the window and I didn't want to close it. However it is just a brief reprieve as Wednesday is looking bad. Your cellar sounds nice. But it's great that the ice is working. My piggies have ice bottles next to their hay trays and they have made nests in the hay and rest their backs against the side with the bottle. Rodent nests are quite well designed I think

I am so happy that it has cooled down for you (I did include you three in my prayers )

I tried to cancel the Bucatstate on Amazon, they wrote that it may not be possible. I feel awful about the TEMU one as I have already received the refund, but they said if it does arrive I can keep it for free because i was so patient and the lady said i was so friendly even though it was all a hassle. But I feel awful keeping it without paying

Thank you for your prayers, they are certainly working. My flat is 23C, very nice The piggies look relieved. Well, you can't keep two, and it would be easier to send the Amazon cage back while it's still in its box

He has just been roaming in the kitchen and decided he needed a bit more time night night, so happy that’s it’s cooler for you three

Aw that's unusual. Most syrians seem to sleep from about 7am to 7pm or later! They occasionally get up for a drink.

During the day he never leaves his house, but he wakes up in between and watches me through his „window“ as soon as he hears me chopping or smells me simmering the broccoli he comes upstairs and pokes his nose out. If i don’t see him he starts scratching the wood so that I hear him. I am well trained
But yesterday he slept all day, and he wasn’t interested in broccoli.

The piggies were a bit nervous but then I spoke to them and if helped. Truffle snuggled up to his sleeping mat and closed his eyes . It was loud but far away The piggies send their love to Nibbles. That’s a piece of my mind I was concerned yesterday as I hadn’t seen you here and hoped everything was ok.
It cooled down to 20 degrees at home this morning, but the temperature started rising again as soon as the sun started coming out. Here in the office it was 31 degrees when I arrived, but I have opened all the windows and now it’s gone down to 28 degrees

His new cage is supposed to arrive today

Oh dear I am sorry, I hoped it would stay cool. My friend told me about this window foil which helps to keep the room temperature down I will add the link.
It’s too expensive for my big windows it would cost around 200,- euros

It’s too expensive for my big windows it would cost around 200,- euros

It's good. I would need to consult my warden about applying it. I read that uncovered areas of the window can expand and warp the window, but that's only if the coverage has gaps. My double glazing is cool on the outside where the sunlight touches it and hot on the inside, which is strange. Closing the curtains creates a pocket of heat between the curtain and the window glass. It's strange It is quite expensive though

I have finished building it together it’s beautiful. Not one scratch or blemish although the customs had opened the box. I guess they feared there was a Chinese spy hamster in there
It’s bigger than I imagined. Now I need a cup of tea and hope I have got enough bedding.
I hope he likes it, I do love the little rascal and want him to be happy. The next three days I am at home, I took holiday so I can monitor him through this tough heatwave

The wheels are the main reason I wanted this one it’s easy to move and there is room underneath to place some cool pads wrapped up in a cloth
But it’s really a beautiful cage

No it’s the 2.0 100 cm I didn’t want it any bigger as he doesn’t really spend that much time in the cage and I like to put deep bedding in there.
