Oddly enough it’s been cool here the last days I managed to put the window sealing up today. It took me three hours and looks terrible the one I originally wanted is out of stock and I can’t order it until the tenth of August.
I have not tried the AC yet because it has no temperature to cool down. The heat is forecasted to start on Wednesday and Thursday will be the peak with up to 36 degrees, then it will be over with more moderate temperatures around 26 degrees and then apparently going down again to 14!!
Crazy weather in crazy times
Nibbles has been snoozing all day. He just popped up for his broccoli at seven.
I have ordered sience select for him, as reading here it’s a good protein source. Let’s see if he eats them .
I hope he wakes up at nine so if will have enough playtime
How are you and the piggies dealing with the heat (or hopefully no heat )
Do they like to free roam? I have seen some cute videos of piggies on YouTube I love the sounds they make

Hello Nibbles I hope you enjoy your Science Select. It might have a lot of soya in it, but I'm not sure. Socks ignored it so we never bought it
The piggies lounge around and take naps with their eyes open, known as death napping, which can be alarming until you have checked that they are breathing If I free roam them, I have to put barriers in front of anything they can chew (everything not made of concrete) and make sure there are no plastic things such as bags or even brushes as they will stand and gobble them down like choice treats. I had to pull a rubber glove out of Truffle's mouth once and grabbed it just in time I have a nice large Omlet playpen which is a bit safer. They love running through tunnels in their playpen. Their wees are quite large at times so the waterproof tarp is a good thing.

Aunty that is shocking a rubber glove doesn’t even taste good 🫪 mum says I am a good boy cause I don’t chew on the furniture but i am a gourmet I don’t even eat good things she says, like cucumber or eggs.
I checked on the AC, no aliens came out and it still looks friendly so it’s okay. But I can hear a dripping noise and I don’t know where it comes from mum said a water filter? Like me? You drink it and it goes in the en-suite? I don’t understand…

Socks was good with the furniture but my fitted sheet has little nibbles in them arranged like tiny smiles I think they are rather sweet, hammy lace He did chew at the wall a bit in the corner of the room, and he chewed at the carpet, but just a tiny bit

Is it not so good? I thought as a protein source. If he doesn’t like it, I will feed it to the wild life at work the birds loved his mealworms and they eat hamster food when I renew his dishes I collect what he doesn’t like and feed it to the birds at work. My boss wondered why so many birds sit on my winder sill

Truffle is absolutely gorgeous therefore it doesn’t matter that he has weird culinary taste

I would love to cuddle him

Truffle consents to allow me to stroke him, especially at feeding times, which are fortunately quite frequent. He purrs and pancakes and is quite cuddly but he isn't hugely keen on being picked up. The vet said he has a bit of arthritis in one of his hind legs so that may be why. If he thinks I am going to pick him up, he runs away . He is cute though. He looks his best in winter when his fur is long and he has a mane with ginger highlights
