My new rescue dog.. Snoop 🐶

It's been forecasting rain here for a few days now but fortunately it hasn't and we've had some lovely sun , which has been great, it's meant we could catch up with some jobs. Snoop has got into a habit of running straight round to the chickens every time he goes out, he thinks it's funny... But they don't! So we decided to put a gate and small fence to stop his antics. It's so fortunate that hubby is a whizz with wood!

I do love the chickens, I have six . Their names are: Betty-boo, Netty Miri Milly Molly and Daisy. I must admit Betty is our favourite ( don't tell the others) she's always wanted special attention and she does a dance before she goes to bed. The coop was hard to put together and then put next to shed I don't know how hubby and I did it on our own, but we did. We've had them about 3 years now, the eggs are small but they have big yolks. Well done girls

Snoop has had a couple of great days, he's made friends with the bin man. He's a very friendly guy anyway but he really likes snoop. Snoop likes him very much because he gave him a big biscuit He's adjusted to the new gate Very well, he doesn't try to get through it when I'm cleaning the girls or getting eggs he seems to have grasped very quick that it's become a no go area. Yesterday the three of us decided to go for a long walk to the village shop, it's very up and down.. really gets your heart pumping, it did us all good. Snoop especially loved it. This is the thrill of living in the middle of nowhere. The hedgerows are full of beautiful flowers, it's really uplifting, did the three of us good to get fresh sea air and good exercise for the legs. Hopefully the start of many happy walks to come . Ness

It sounds lovely I guess you're still having nice weather then! I'm envious as it's grey, chilly and rainy here.

The past two days were lovely, sunshine and quite warm but today has been grey with sea mist so not so good! Ness

Snoops been a little monkey today! I know it's hard to believe isn't it, but I'm afraid it's true for some reason every time he's gone out today he's charging off at a hundred miles an hour and running through the hedgerows. It's quite worrying because I don't want him to hurt himself or damage his eyes . It's hard to believe that a sweet angelic little dog like snoop could turn into a bull in a china shop. So until he calms down he's back on his long lead, at least then I have some control. Of course he thinks mummy's a party pooper. Sorry snoop it's because I love you.Ness

Snoop has had a wonderful day to day! The lovely weather helped I'd say he's been outside for most of the day only coming on for a sleep after his mid day treat. When he was let out first thing this morning he did go charging towards the hedge! I shouted.. snoop no.. and he just stopped dead in his tracks, he turned and looked at me with that angelic face as if to say What Mum! Then he behaved for the rest of the day ( unbelievable) we'll see how long this lasts. I must have the faith I must.Ness

Hi everyone, snoop had a lovely Sunday, the weather has been glorious so he's really happy that the front door is open and he can just do what ever he likes He has decided that it really pays to behave himself and not try to get through the hedge and pester the chickens! I know it's mad how hubby did a beautiful fence and gate and then he decided to go through the hedge ( bless him) he must have thought... Can't you see this way dad? I can . He's very good when he's had enough running around he just lies down on the path or gets up on the bench and has a snooze ( well it's hard work being a guard dog you know) when it's time to come in and have the door shut we just shout TOUCH and he comes in . Clever boy snoop Ness

He is an intelligent doggie. It's so nice that he has people who can help him realise his potential. People often don't see how intelligent animals are

He learns fast I bet he would be great at agility or dog dancing. I love watching the sheep dogs too it’s amaze how they work together with their human partners

I'm going to get an agility set for the back garden I'm convinced he would love it. Ness

Monday morning yet again another beautiful day we decided to cut the lawns. Snoop loves following us up and down it's a shame he can't teach the handle of the mower,never mind! Every now and then he throws himself on his back with his legs up in air having a good rub he loves it The lawns are quite big so it took a while,you sigh with relief then look at the front. We have pesky moles in the front lawn which is really annoying as hubby had just got it so nice, we have to keep an eye on snoop as well as he's been digging some of the mounds,I don't want him suddenly coming to me with a mole! Lawns are done a bit of weeding and now chill. Snoop is tired after all the running around and supervising mom & dad.Ness

Lovely doggie days. He has plenty of space to have fun in I've seen dogs sliding along on their backs on wet grass after the rain. I wonder if Snoop will have a slide
