Pip the Robo

Poor Pip, it’s so difficult to know what to do for the best sometimes. I guess as they get older they have good days and some not so good days, where they are wobbly and tired. Sorry to hear the replacement camera was not as expected.

Pip came out twice, earlier than usual, yesterday while I was fiddling with the camera in front of his cage so it may have woken him. He didn’t look good at all but ran on his wheel a bit and was running round the cage, despite being wobbly and falling over a couple of times, and checking his baby food plate a couple of times. It was empty as I usually put it out at bedtime. I did think he looked very unwell at one point and seemed to be in pain with his ears flat to his head- while sitting on his shelf. And had decided to call the emergency vets this morning to help him on his way as he seemed to be suffering. But waited to see if he would come out again last night and see if he had perked up a bit. Or his ears come back up as he has only just woken up and sometimes their ears are flat when they’ve just woken up.

He hadn’t had his baby food by this morning and didn’t appear go have eaten his veg so I have put them near his house door and will check on him later today.

Little Pip had passed away in his nest. He was never any trouble.

I’m so sorry Maz.
It’s always hard but he had a great life & lived to a good age, he seemed happy up until the end enjoying his baby food & one last run in his wheel in spite of old age & the things that come with it.

I am so very sorry to hear such sad news Maz. I think it is lovely you interacted with him a little bit last night. He was a very special little boy.

Thank you. I am very tearful right now.

Pip was out and about to the very end, you did a great job taking care of him.

Thank you ilguy.
