Tino's thread

Tino had a good long free roam tonight - he still stays round the edges of the room mostly, and came back to his playpen area a couple of times (I still put his playpen items on the floor in the same place but without the playpen). Had a sniff of the wheel and went in his snooze cube and looked quite happy to find it!

Here he is on a chair before he went on the floor - he has such lovely chunky little legs :-)

I see what you mean on that first picture, he looks so punchy with those little legs. Glad Tino is doing so well, he's adorable as ever

I thought, when he was a baby, he would grow into those ears :ROFLMAO: But they are his "special feature" :-) He is such a lovely big chunky furry bundle to handle. He loves sitting for a stroke and being stroked behind his ears. A very gentle nature.

Higgins doesn't sit for a cuddle but will tolerate being stroked for about 3 seconds ha ha.

I love watching the way Tino moves, he is very agile and strong❤

He is strong - I'm not sure about agile! He struggles with climbing somehow - it's as if he can't manage his weight uphill!

Tino was out again last night. He is getting bolder and cheekier. He now does what Raffy used to do and rummages around behind the tv cupboard (where there is an alcove with boxes of stuff) banging around. He then walked all the way across the hearth! We haven't had a fire for some time (now coal is banned) but it still gets a bit dusty - I called out No! He stopped for a bit but just carried on! Raffy used to get off when I said no in that tone. Off the other end of the hearth, and he is now obsessed with trying to get past the barrier into the kitchen. So it doesn't take long before one room isn't big enough!

Here's Tino last night. I tried to take some more photos but they didn't come out - either blurred or he just doesn't show up in the distance on the carpet. He has become obsessed with walking on the hearth, where he is not allowed! And ignores me. It isn't as dirty as it looks ha ha. They are very old tiles and have become marked over many years. It doesn't clean off. But it is a bit dusty (fire hasn't been used for ages). He was sitting still so managed to nab a picture. They always seem to find the dustiest parts of the room!

It was quite a busy night with both of them wanting attention at the same time. First Higgins was out for ages. Tino was getting very impatient and glaring at me through his front door. Then Higgins went back in his cage, and Tino came out for a free roam. After a while I just left him to roam and went to talk to Higgins in his cage, who was demolishing his treat (on his thread). Spent quite a while doing that.

Then had to sit and wait for Tino to appear - I know he can't get out of the room or get into anything he shouldn't. He appears every 5 minutes or so or I can hear him rummaging in a box behind the tv. And he homes back to his old playpen items on the floor near my feet. Doesn't really use them but seems happy they are there, sniffs them and this look comes over his face - I remember this! He is very easy to get back thankfully and always walks into a tube.

He's coming up for 20 months old - it's hard to believe - time flies. Still in great condition.

Great that Tino is nice and steady during floor time and is enjoying it so much. I remember his first illicit floor time when he had to be bucket trapped and got out again. Now he takes it all in his stride ❤

I was remembering that too. His baby escape adventure :-) He was just a scared baby so hid away - but he went back to his familiar cage :-) Putting him back last night, I also remembered the time he took a flying leap out of the front door of the cage! He is much more settled in his plaza.
