仓鼠 Tsang Shu

No, I think what was happening was that she was running then stopped. The wheel continued spinning. The centrifigal force placed her up the other side of the wheel.

I am trying lots of things, just to see what she will eat.

Remember, the Spinach leaf. She did not touch it.

The broccoli floret was next. She ate it.

I put dried meal worms in the dish on top of her house. She refused to eat it.

I sprinkled Quinoa in the dish next, after cleaning out the meal worms. Yum yum yum. She devoured everything.

I forgot to mention the Gerber Puff Banana Cereal Snacks for babies. It was the favorite snack of Victoria Raechel, a Hamster aficionado on YouTube. Tsang Shu loves them.

I’m glad to hear she enjoyed the quinoa that will be a nice healthy treat for her, I wouldn’t give the banana puffs though or at least only very rarely, fruit & sugar in those isn’t good for a diabetes prone species.
I have to admit because Pete is a dwarfie I am totally paranoid about checking he doesn't have anything with any suger in it he loves sweetcorn but it only has one piece every few weeks dried mealworms are his usual special treat up to 3 per day

I must get some quinoa I'd never thought of that one see if Pete likes it too 👍🙂

Cheerios ? I took up everything and put about seven Cheerios in her dish, Sunflower seeds, and a pinch of Sunburst Hamster food.

Here is a view of the entire cage with its new see-thru top. Here Tsang Shu is standing on top of a hide on the upper level (deep bedding etc), having raced up the tube.

Here she raced down the tube and jumped on top of the hide on the bottom level. She is frenetic with activity.

I think Cheerios may contain sugar as well, not totally sure though.
I wouldn’t give her human food like that at least not frequently, a very occasional treat at most.
Stick with more natural foods, sunflower seeds are ok to give a few extra in moderation, pumpkin seeds are great too, they love those, if you can get them in the shell even better but if not shelled is fine, a monkey nut (peanut in the shell) is a good treat they have to work a bit to get at. Hemp seeds, a very small piece of plain unsalted nut, pine nuts & walnuts tend to be. favourites here.
A good variety of veg, a small amount of something daily.
That should be enough really without having to give human foods.
How much of her mix are you giving her? One to two teaspoons a day is about right, I give more at first so they can build up a hoard.

She is on top of the hiding place again
