Blossom ๐ŸŒธ

Hamsters like to chew and even more so if they are in heat. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Blossom definitely chews and is more active at some times more than others, which I attribute to being in heat. She is less crazy on her days in heat since I added a new hide and deeper bedding to her cage.

It can help to take her out her cage when she is in heat so she can burn off some energy. You really do not need to worry about her chewing her dig box or any other things in her cage as it is perfectly normal for hamsters to chew. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I do give her time out in her play box to run off some energy on these days. Usually , sheโ€™ll have a good dig and run in her play box. Interestingly, I popped her in her play box this evening, and she just settled down in her cardboard hide after pouching her bedding and was rather sleepy ๐Ÿ˜ด Iโ€™m not concerned about her chewing her dig box or her ceramic corner toilet which is another favourite on these days as she canโ€™t actually chew them and ingest anything she shouldnโ€™t.

Blossom sounds very entertaining never count up the minutes/hours we spend watching our little fur balls ๐Ÿ˜

I used to find, that the day before Jas was in heat, she would have a lot of energy, but in small bursts. She would often wear herself out, maybe Blossom is similar? Good luck with the entertaining

This does sound rather like Blossom. I do find that she will be super active for half an hour to an hour usually, then wear herself out and settle down for a nap ๐Ÿ˜ด She did this evening ๐Ÿ‘

Blossom had a special Easter tea today including broccoli, pumpkin seed and a peanut in its shell ๐Ÿฃโœ๏ธ๐ŸŒผ

Glad to hear she had some nice tea time treats! Tasty and healthy, well done Mom!

That sounds lovely :-). Lucky Blossom :-). Did she tuck in well?

It has just occurred to me that it will be Blossomโ€™s first birthday next month! I keep thinking that itโ€™s in August, when I got her, but she was about 10 weeks old then! It seems even more appropriate now that I called her Blossom given the time of year in which she was born. Iโ€™m going to aim for 25 May as that is exactly 10 weeks before August 3 which is her gotcha day. Best get planning for the big celebration ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŒธ

Socks is going to write a poem. It won't be Shakespeare though!

I thought Iโ€™d give Miss B a quick spot clean this afternoon. Unbeknown to me tho, she has been pooping under her low platform between her nest and her wheel, so it ended up being a much bigger clean. I had to change about one third of the bedding! Miss B is not amused lol ๐Ÿ˜œ She is busy scent marking and digging through and kicking up all the new bedding now, and being a bit of a pickle!
