I'm trying! I think it might be on the top of a branch on the left side of the tree in the middle of the photo? It seems to have a white breast - is that right? Is it an owl? Seems unlikely during daylight but I can't think of anything else with a white breast.

Yes , you've found it!! We debated for a while about what type of bird it was because it was so big. We thought it might be a hen harrier because they are seen in this area.. but rare. So we settled on a Buzzard Ness

I enlarged the first one and it could be an Osprey, or it could be a young buzzard as their coats are lighter apparently. Certainly doesn't look familiar to me!

Second one looks like a seagull to me - maybe?

The water melons were a success, although when we sliced them open they were split because they were over ripe!

I wish I must admit since we moved here the rainbow always seems to be in the same place. Maybe I should run over there .. with a spade 🪏 Ness

That is a lovely photo And the irony is, it's not the time of year you expect things to get greener! But the rain has helped, yes.

We didn't cut the grass during the hot weather, which also helped to keep it green! There's an underground water table as well that helped Ness

Yes, that's right it's great during summer, but in the winter when we have alot of rain ( like last year) it's not so good. Ness
