Henry

That's really nice you had cuddles from Henry :-) There must be something in the air as I had cuddles from Raffy last night too :)

Henry has been his sweet self all week, and asked for adventures almost every day. He fully understands the taxi now, and is a bit more patient while in it. Also tuned his wheel again, he still loves going full speed.

This morning he had some odd behavior, Henry was still up and digging around constantly. He did it for a long time, it was as if he couldn't find his burrow. I tried to help guide him & cleared space by the platform his sand bath is on, it eventually worked. The videos don't do it justice, felt like almost a half hour he was doing it.

Adventure to Go
Confused Henry

Aww, sounds like he may have just forgotten where is burrow is. It is adorable how he is enjoying coming out and spending time with you. He really is a special little boy.

Lovely watching him enjoying his wheel :) Who knows why they do these things sometimes! I've seen similar behaviour with Raffy before for no particular reason. Lots of digging around and not near his nest/burrow under his house but next to it. Could he be looking for a hoard?

I honestly have no idea, but he seems to be asleep in his main burrow now so I'm happy. He has been building a nest under & around the wheel this week, maybe he realized that's what was slowing it down? Could have been trying to make a new sleeping spot.

It was so adorable when he asked me to fix it. I offered him all his things and he wasn't interested, then he made a point to hop onto the wheel and back onto my hand. When I started fixing it, he sat on the bendy bridge and stared at it. Was so cute when he tried the wheel again, he was pleased and investigated it like "hey, how did you do that?"

Henry got up an hour early and chirped for me, I got some cuddles & pet him for a minute. He built up the area around the burrow I helped him relocate, seems to be a happy resolution for him. He normally does the wheel while I'm asleep, but today he's just out and about.

I tried to give him an extra hard treat ball, but he took it as a challenge and did a Speedrun.

Challenge= Speedrun

Henry has hit a new level of settled in, he is now out constantly. No more waiting for me to go to bed for wheel time. He trusts me to leave him be when he shows he's not interested, but I still get a polite hi and some kisses before he does his thing. He's done that the last 4 days and is having an absolute ball with his wheel.

Today he was undecided if he wanted an adventure or not, but he has a new move where he hops on the log and follows me if I walk by. He also went into the taxi, then had second thoughts once in my room. He stood up and meerkatted for a solid minute while thinking about it. Not the best lighting, but it was precious.

He sounds so tame and interactive with you now. I bet he loves coming out :) The new move does sound very sweet.

I had a chance to weigh Henry today, he is now 44 grams. Pretty big change since getting on the vita garden almost 3 months ago. I've been giving extra mealworms & protein to supplement it, and still offer him plenty of treats.

It is a healthy weight, but going to keep an eye on it. He's as active as ever, seems the happiest and zoomiest so far since I've had him.
