Higgins

Higgins decided to come out last night. Instead of sitting in his doorway as usual, he came and sat at the front of the cage and gave me a look. Walked into his tube taxi. He wasn't out that long as it was a bit late. Didn't have my phone on me unfortunately so no photos, but he seems to be well and truly fully grown now. He's filled out a bit. Must weigh him next time!

Tino, who rarely appears, ALWAYS wants to come out as soon as he sees Higgins come out! But he disappeared again - making me feel guilty He is almost "hangdog" when he walks away and sees I've let Higgins out. His turn next .........

Aw, does Tino not come if you try talking to him and giving the bedding a little rustle? I wonder if he will come if he's given the chance to go first

Although they are solitary creatures they do seem curious about each other if they are in close proximity not speaking from personal experience though

Higgins was out last night. He spends most of his time rolling around in the snooze cube - I have to stop him sometimes as he’s starting to chew it.

Lifted him onto the sofa in the snooze cube at one point and he had some cuddles and a bit of time on the sofa, but not long as he is extremely fast! But he’s happy with handling and strokes

Higgy has been a bit awol recently. I think it might be because OH was feeding him for a couple of weeks while I was indisposed. He's ignoring me now. I'll have to try and tempt him with something.

I'm sure he will warm up eventually, they definitely have those moods sometimes. Last year Henry showed me his back on purpose once and kept to himself for a week.

Higgins just doesn't "answer the door" - pretends he's not at home.

Oaky got this way after we were gone for a week- it only lasted about a day, but we have a longer trip coming up, and I'm wondering how she'll be when we get back!

I think they vary - Tino was fine - just wanted out. Raffy used to be fine. They just seemed to adjust to a stranger feeding (hid away from them) and pleased to see us when we got back. So Higgins must be a bit more sensitive.

Higgins and Tino both had a partial cage clean last night, so they had a good long time in the playpen (separately - one at a time of course!). Higgins was as tidy as ever - he has one corner for his poops, his central ceramic hide he pees in, and his house is always clean and bone dry. He had a little cuddle on the sofa as well, but I couldn't get a photo of that as had my hands full.

He was a bit fast, hence the blur!
