Pasha

I did! I forgot to comment 😅 you did a great job with the edit it's lovely!

Sorry for removing your hand from the photo lol. It didn't quite fit with the background!

No not at all, don't apologise, it looks great, having my hand in there would have spoiled it 🤣 even if I am as pale as snow lol

Just guessing, but I think Pasha may have wanted to escort her metacam syringe back to her nest this morning 🤣

Ha ha - she'd probably bury it like Pip buries teaspoons that have had food on them!

I wouldnt be surprised, there's always at least one bowl she's buried that I've not been able to find when I do a deep clean 🤣

Pasha decided she needed to frighten the life out of me today by totally disappearing in her cage, I started removing things and sifting through bedding..im still not sure exactly where she was as she came trundling out of a pile of bedding I'd already looked through 🤣

She seems to have developed a lump over her back end, but I cant quite figure out what it is, it almost just seems like it's hair, there isn't actually a palpable mass, it's squishy. So I guess I'll have to nip her down the vet when I can, just to be safe.

But other than that she's her happy little self!

Oh gosh, they really know how to scare us! You must have been so relieved when she came out. She is just so photogenic!

I know that feeling when they disappear like that! Glad you found her ok, huge sigh of relief!
I hope the lump isn’t anything too serious & she’s ok.
Beautiful photos of her.

I really was relieved, I was so sure she had passed away.
I'm hoping shes just oddly shaped from losing muscle mass or something but fingers crossed its nothing to worry about.

Glad you found her ok. I usually gauge by whether last night's veg has been eaten or not. If it hasn't - then I am very worried! I can't see a lump on the photo - I hope the vet can enlighten and it's nothing too serious. She's on Metacam isn't she?

That's usually how I check, although sometimes she just leaves food until the morning which is unhelpful 😅 she had eaten a good amount of the omnivore emeraid I'd left overnight but I was checking her usual nest spots to give her her metacam and she wasn't in any of them, rooted around the rest of the bedding and everything, it was only when I took her cage over to my bed to start pulling things out that she appeared out of a pile of paper 😅 she must have been absolutely sound asleep wherever she was poor little thing.

The lump is over the top of her pelvis, if you see what I mean. She may just be holding herself oddly from her arthritis but I've no idea.

Looks more like a swelling than a lump so could be the arthritis. Is she moving differently?

Yes I see - and it seems it's come up suddenly. It could be anything really. A cyst maybe. But it does look to be over quite a large area. Does it feel firm or squidgy?

It's very squishy, shes moving the same as always, shes eating well and seems quite happy in herself. I cant see it being an abscess as there's nothing she could have injured herself on, a few of the piggies are prone to cysts and it feels different to those. It's more like if someone put some jelly under the skin if that makes sense? I wondered if it was fluid but it seems a really odd place to build up.

Hmm. I am sure the vet will know what it is.

I can see it there too, it is hard to guess what it might be a cyst was my first thought but it doesn’t really look like it. Fluid build up is possible after an injury like a fall or just knocking herself against something but it doesn’t help much to guess, hopefully it’s not too serious & the vet will be able to explain it.
