They usually let us know when they're not which gives us something to work with.

I'm sure it does but it's not something i have. I got my first hamster in March 2019 when i was so clueless that i believed everything the petshop told me. Common sense took over and i thought, this can't be right and decided to do some research.

Totally agree but what I found was the more I read the more things conflicted a bit like reading reviews fortunately I found this forum and can learn from others experience after saying that I sometimes think Pete is a OOAK he loves to confuse me sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread

Firstly, please don't feel that you are hijacking this thread.
Internet information can be very confusing and i soon gave up on that.
Like you i joined a hamster forum and learned from people who had hamsters and lots of experience. I asked endless questions but one thing hasn't changed.
Hamsters still confuse me.

I've just reported a person advertising 17 day old baby dwarf hamsters stating they will be ready in a couple of days. They are tiny and need their mother. People like that make me so angry.
