Thank you! They are from his seed mix. The challenge is to keep the water clean and refresh it often as they can harbour bacteria when soaked.Oh I bet he loved those sunflower shoots, some great treats you're giving Socks

Yes, some extra nice yummies has been helpful for the apologyI would try to explain and then apologise later!
Its nice to know he's looking okLaundry day and the heating had come on just now. Settling down with Fishy Foo to put the fins up for a moment, (he sits on his Anubia leaf and I slouch on two chairs), I spied the form of a hamster imprinted into the greens in Sock's watermelon bowl. I had disturbed him. Within a short while, Socks appeared and started pouching the stuff eagerly. I was very pleased when he stayed for a pat and picked him up using the bowl (my resolution is to use his concertina tunnel to avoid any more bumps). He was a bit restless, so after a quick stroke, I put him back in the cage and he took the coriander leaves from me with a polite thank you, folded them up and put them in his pouches. It was really nice to stroke him again. His scent glands look a bit bare, but otherwise he seems OK. His coat seems to be turning a bit lighter in places. I didn't get to weigh him, but he looks OK and in good shape
